What a summer so far. It's flying by. I've been fortunate to have my 11yr. old granddaughter for it. Normally, I am by myself here with my four legged friends. 
I have watched her riding her bike,
riding the horses,or just plain laughing and singing, truly enjoying her Summertime!
It brings back so many childhood memories. Makes me wish I was a kid again. Better though, it makes me feel very grateful to have her around to remind me how good Life is. I usually am stressing out over what I do not have. I realize now how much I do have and it feels Good. 
And just because I don't have her energy or imagination, I can still slow down and enjoy it with her. Because, in a blink, it's gone.
So, this article is more or less for me to remind myself how Good I do have it and I'm counting my Blessings~ I hope it helps someone else reading it as well.

Wow, Kim, what a great article and such lovely photos.....that one of the sunset is truly awesome! Life does fly by....entirely too fast......and, so many times, we just take so much for granted, don't we? Granted, life certainly is not perfect, and we all have our ups and downs, but still.......there is soooo much to really appreciate and be thankful for. I've come to think a whole lot about that lately.....especially in the last month or so, when I lost a couple of close family members. Life is too short........take time to smell the flowers!
