Strange light in the Western Sky tonight

Around 6:30 this evening on our way into town, my daughter and I saw a very strange light in the western sky.  It was close to where you usually see Venus, but more to the right.  It was bigger than any star or planet I've seen and it was shaped like a figure 8.  And it was not moving.

My daughter said it's that green comet that is supposed to be around the last week of February. 

Well, hours later on our way home, it's still out there.  So we come inside and Google it.

 The 'Lulin or Green Comet' is supposed to be in the Eastern sky this week,  not the western like whatever was outside here tonight.  So then she went to Twitter( new one for me) searched this strange light and saw where  2 nights ago, someone commented on the same thing happening in their sky in Ohio.  But, that was it.

So, Stacey decided to head on home and I walked her out.  We look up to where it was in the sky and.... it's gone.  4 hours in one place in the sky that we knew of  and it's gone.   ?   That was it.  

 Just curious, it was awfully big for a star or Venus.  You know,  it was just a few weeks ago, we had that strange storm when the Sky lit up Green and I posted about it.

I reminded my daughter of that when she said 'Green Comet'.  Even though this wasn't the Green Comet, green was the theme of the 'Night Sky' this month.  And this big light just up and disappeared.

  Who knows maybe tomorrow i'll wake up and have the ability to fly~ or shoot lasers with my eyes.  Green lasers of course.  :)

Seriously though, It was awesome and strange.  I'd just like to know what's out there. Did Anyone out there tonight see this same light or star or comet or UFO? Or anytime this week?
