Uncle charged in the case with the girl left to walk 10 miles in snow

I posted this article days ago about a father who broke down in the snow and let his 2 kids walk the 10 miles to mother's house in snow and freezing temps. The daughter died.

The father was charged with 2nd degree murder and is being held on a 500,000 bond. The uncle of the children that was also with him was charged with 2nd degree murder as well along with two counts of drug possession.  officers said they found him with marijuana and methamphetamine.

The father's great uncle says that prayers should go to the father.  For he is suffering greatly from his mistake.

Apparantly, the kids lived with the father.  The mother is not available for any comments and her phone is turned off.

I just saw this bit of info online and wanted to update on it. I was pretty angry at this father's stupidity when i posted this story. I guess it was more than one person's fault.  the father for his bad judgement that led to his daughter's death.  The uncle who was with him and apparantly on  or dealing drugs.  The mother for whatever reason she didn't have custody of her children.  Either way, the results of this were very sad and tragic

I wonder if the drugs were a factor in the stupid decision in telling those girls to walk 10 miles in the snow.

I was wondering the same thing. Whether they were using or dealing, drugs were a factor. I didn't find anymore info about that.

Those poor children and now what happens to the one who survived. Sounds like their is a lot of family issues that someone should have seen before. Too many people turn their heads these days and don't want to get involved.
I saw a guy in the mall literally pulling his kids arm of the socket dragging him away from the fountain. The kid was screaming and everyone just walked by. I went and got mall security and the found the guy-who could miss him with the still screaming child being dragged behind him. They intervened and the guy was screaming bitch at me. Security called medics and the kids shoulder was dislocated with who knows what other damage. Of course, they escorted me to my car so nothing would happen to me. That poor child.

My compassion for this father has gone down the toilet. He didn't "make a bad decision", he sent his kids to their death. One can only hope that the surviving child is taken into a good home. I hope the S.O.B. rots in jail.

OMG!! That explains it!!! We were all so baffled as to how they could have made such a colossal mistake. They were probably using drugs. Now I am even more angry at those men. I am glad they are being charged and going to jail. Thanks for the update Kim!!
