We took Kyleigh to the pediatrician's office for her 15-month check-up yesterday.
Kyleigh is 32" tall, which is 90 percentile, down from 99 or 98 percentile in previous check-ups. So her height growth has slowed down a little but she's still a tall girl.
She is 21 lbs 4 oz, which is only 26 percentile, down from 50 or 40 percentile in previous check-ups. The doctor was very concerned, and wanted to see Kyleigh back in a month to make sure she is gaining weight. We will have to feed her more food! Kyleigh has always wanted to grab food from our plates. I had thought she was just curious about adult foods. But apparently she was simply just hungry! I feel so bad for starving her.
Everything else checked out all right. I was a little concerned about her liver because her skin color has turned very yellow in the last month. But the doctor said it looked like she just ate too much squashes and carrots. We will need to give her more green vegetables. (My husband joked, "Then she's going to turn green!")
Finally it was time for her shots. She got three needles, two in the legs and one in the arm. The nurse advised us that the one in the arm ("MMR") was more painful than any other shot she had ever had. I held on to her real tight to make sure she couldn't move. Kyleigh was so mad she wouldn't talk to us in the car on the way home.
Kyleigh developed a mild fever last night between 10 PM and 6 AM. She didn't get much sleep. But I am glad that the fever went away this morning, and she is up and running like new. We still have to be careful, because the nurse said the "MMR" will take 5 to 12 days to work, and Kyleigh can still develop a fever any time in the next 2 weeks. I am just concerned that Kyleigh will be going to a commercial day care next week and not be cared by my mom at home. If she's not feeling well, I hope the day care center will pay enough attention to her.

Definitely try and get her to eat healthy foods, but make sure she's getting plenty. As long as she's not losing weight, and staying around 25% or higher, she'll be fine!
Yep, for some reason Destiny already had that shot. I'll have to mention that to the doctor about that next time. Hmmm....
I'm anxious to see how Destiny ranks in weight and height now. She's still tiny compared to other babies but I think she's catching up.She just had another growth spurt so I need to buy more items this weekend. We just seen a baby tonight that was 12 months old and was bigger then Destiny in her face, and middle. Destiny was only lengthier. So, it will be interesting to see where she stands.
That's nice of you, Renee.
