I have this extra large Golden Retriever. He is the sweetest baby, but he keeps having leg issues. He's had surgery on his front hip and now he can't walk on his hind leg. I don't see anything wrong and again brought him to the vet. He didn't even charge me. He can't find anything wrong, but said I'd spent so much money at the vet that he wouldn't charge me. He's been a wonderful vet, but there doesn't seem to anything else to do for my puppy but medicate. He in quite inactive. His life is at our feet and cries if he's not near us. He thinks going outside requires an escourt in his own backyard. I don't know why I'm even writing this, except I just worry about him. he's not even two yet, and he seems old.

Glucosamine has worked wonders for animals that I have had. A few brought up a good point about compensating for other injured parts. I know that I have experienced it a lot when I had broken bones and such.
If he gets upset when he is away from you,how long has it been when he had the surgery on the front leg?He might be associating the trauma of the injury>trip to the vet> now in pain>doesnt want to be away from you>in pain,so wont leave your side.Treat him like a two year old and relate to him on that level.
