My baby shower...

A lot of people have been asking me how my shower went. If you were one of those people, please read this. 

My baby shower was yesterday at 2pm. It turned out pretty good, or so I thought. I didn’t have high hopes for it though, because of who was planning it. I was actually surprised that it happened, and I worried about it this whole pregnancy. Anyways, it did happen, and all turned out fine.

The decorations looked fine, and all the games were a big hit. People had a blast sniffing dirty diapers, and cutting string to see how wide I am. There were also a few other games, but those ones people seemed to enjoy the most.

All of my husbands family showed up, except for one. No one brought their kids either, except for babys, so that was a nice relief! I’m not even going to go into that right now, I’ll just say that I’m glad I didn’t have any monsters trying to hang on me like usual.

More people then I expected from my family showed up. My mom was there of course. Not only that, all of my moms aunts came (they weren’t invited but decided to come anyways, so that was nice). My moms sister also came and brought my cousin, which made me happy, we haven’t seen each other in years!

There was PLENTY of food, and both my moms fridge and mine are filled with leftovers, plus a lot of people took some home. The only thing that there wasn’t enough of was cake. See my article titled ‘no cake’. There was plenty for the guests, but I didn’t get any, and neither did my husband!!!

We got a lot of nice gifts. We actually got almost everything we would need. We’re going to buy a bouncy seat and a dresser for her. Other then that, I think we got everything. Of course, as I’m sure it is with all babies, it’s wait and see what else we need.

No, nothing is set up yet. In fact it’s all piled up in boxes and bags right now. Taking up about half the room, and that’s not including all the other stuff we had previously gotten. No one warned me that children need this much stuff!

It’s nice though, and we thanked everyone for coming. If you remember the photo essay I did a few weeks ago, about making the favors, those were a big hit! Everyone loved them, they were very happy to get bottles filled with mints and some tootsie rolls for the road.
