We downgraded our dish network to the family package several months ago. We no longer have the networks either. My favorite shows were CSI, The Unit, NCIS, Numbers and Criminal Minds. All of my favorite shows are on CBS. About a week ago, I found out that you can view these shows and many more on the internet. The entire episode and it is totally FREE. Wow! Why were we paying for the networks in the first place. This was wonderful news to me. Now I just go the show I want to view and make the screen as large as the monitor. I am just loving this. :)
I thought that there may be many more people out there that do not get the networks for would cancel the networks if they knew they could view them on the internet. Here is the link.
Do you subscribe to the networks? How much could you save if you viewed it online instead of the TV?
Have you ever considered canceling your subscription to the large packages that satellites offer?
What package do you subscribe to?
Is cable really more expensive than satellite?

And I think cable is more expensive than satellite, but I understand that satellite isn't as reliable. I could be wrong about that.
We are now paying 19.99 a month instead of the higher price.
Michelle,
We must view the same shows. LOL
We really dont view much TV. We only keep the satellite so we can watch BYUTV. If it were not for that, we would not subscribe to anything.
I have ESP! LOL
Timothy,
We only had cable for three months and it was totally free for that time. We had it disconnected after the three months was up. So I have no idea what it costs but I have heard that it is expensive.
Lynn,
We dont drink or party either. Since winter is quickly approaching, we were considering getting the networks again now we wont have to.
Deb,
That is expensive. Do you think so??
Shannon,
Jericho is one of the shows that you can view on the internet. :)
Finally escaped!
the Carrington Mansion in Denver was actually the Filoli Estate in Woodside Calif, near Stanford U.
The Denver Carrington office tower was actually a skyscraper in L.A. with the coastal range mountain ridge behind it and the camera being shot through the branches of a solitary Blue Spruce at Universal Studios in Burbank!
I can see why you folks who live in Vegas do not like the show, that is terrible. They should film it in Vegas. Wonder why the dont???
About two months after I started college, I had it turned off. No time to watch, and no money to pay for it!!
I watch TV sometimes on the weekends when I'm at my kid's houses. I love CSI, Law and Order, the 4400, and some of the Discovery channel programs.
Can't wait to finish school and be able to live like a "normal" person again!! LOL
It ends up being cheaper to get a basic digital package w/internet combined than if I paid for internet & then got analog basic cable...go figure...lol
I do get bravo,encore,several discovery channels,history ect...
Sometimes I wonder if a dish would be cheaper?
Or if buying something to hook up to my pc (slingbox or whatever) would be better.
If I lived somewhere else, I know I would not want a dish...
if it rains, storms often I've seen others have problems. :-)
And have also watched Lost on abc.com too.
There are many places you can watch stuff online.
If I can find my links I will post them.
