Time To Think About Gardening

We have been receiving alot of seed and plant catalogs in the mail.   It is time to order the seeds and plants so they will arrive in time to plant the garden. We have always raised a garden. I love fresh veggies and fruit from the garden. Nothing tastes better.  I have heard many people say that they do not have room to plant a garden but if one really has the desire to have a garden, they will figure out a way to raise at least some tomatoes.

 You can always add a few shelves in the window and put a few pots of  plants there. Herbs are great to raise in the window.

Cucumbers can easily be planted so they grow up the fence. They take up no room this way and you are using something that is not that pretty to look at anyway.  Try growing your cucumbers in hanging baskets hanging on a fence. If it's a wooden fence, all you need to do is stretch a wire or some string along it so as the cucumber has something to grow along. I have found that you have to water daily.  You can also plant the seeds in the ground at the fence and let the plant grow up the fence.

 Tomatoes are great to grow in a  large pot on the balcony or back porch. Pepper plants are also great to raise in pots.
