Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate
Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations. The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative. Ryan’s campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans. |

Have fun. If you click further on the link you can find info on flights to Kenya. I only know because I accidentally did it.
Sorry you has so much trouble in your searching.
Karl, does it really matter to you if Mr. Obama has done what this article is implying? Do you ever care if he is faking his "natural born" citizenship status, or is that just a minor thing?
If she hadn't had the link the the original article, you would still be blathering with this. "Your post, and at least THREE radical right wing hate sites. As well as a couple of just plain radical right wing offerings. CAN YOU FIND AN ORIGINAL SOURCE ARCHIVE THAT HAS THE STORY and was PUBLISHED in 2004?"
Now that what you asked for has been provided all you can offer is that the matter has been settled and... without as much as an apology and only an unsubstantiated comment about liars and cheats. You know what I say about people who call others liars with no evidence to back up their allegations? It's here in my comment at 4:48PM today.
here) I just don't understand how people so casually use them - it's purely classless.

OK you win.
Here's another point, then I am going to bed. WHY is it ALWAYS about being right or wrong or who wins or looses. Adult discussions of difference of opinions without names would be very refreshing.
Most who object to a post, instead of reading, thinking, asking additional questions - just JUMP to the power play - right at any cost and throw in a few names just for sh*t and giggles???
But, if your position is right, and prosecuted, the only possible solution is to put Joe Biden in the Oval Office, and Barack Obama on a flight to Kenya.
YOU, might find that an acceptable solution to your concerns. I DON'T.

"I cannot prove the forgery yet, and I am not going to try." Well, that kind of contradiction sort of sizes it all up for me.
"The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.
Ryan’s campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans."
Oh, yeah! I see it. Well.. when you're right, you're right. Some things never change.
That dart you put so much of your 'braineffort' in fell exactly two inches past the tip of your shoes. I'm way over here.
You're welcome to try again, though...
The fact his running mate had "dirt" brough out was politics as usual in IL, Obama's first of manny assists.
The Neo-con Reps put McCain up as their candidate only so he could have his 15 min of fame. He was never a threat to "the chosen one".
Contrary to Christian Conservative beliefs, there truly is a difference.
"Running mate"??? What running mate are you speaking of?? I think you meant 'rival'.
But again, contrary to Christian Conservative beliefs, yadayadayada...
Who's 'manny'?
Why do you insist on continually spreading hateful propaganda about Obama, only to consequently, consistently be shown up to be a flaming moron, just as we keep saying you and your group are? (Don't forget to add 'moron' to your list, by the way.)
Bored now. The usual lack of anything resembling intelligence from you guys is giving me another migraine.
I'm out.
I will add flaming moron in your honor Catt.
You people are as loony as ever. I think that you might want to consider medication, folks. Failure to back up your views with credible claims makes you look rather pathetic. This one really takes the cake. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
I don't mean to put this Nobel Peace Prize topic here, but looking for the location of Zimbawe in relation to Kenya, I happened to serendipitously find this fabulous editorial from The Herald tha you might enjoy.
Thanks for the additional link and am sure many others will follow these newspapers. You know, we don't get the REAL news here.
It is so obvious the Nobel Peace Prize has been compremized, yet but for a few exceptions.
Please understand that the term "goon" has ugly historical implications. You have the right to say anything in any way that you wish. I defend your right to say it. It is also my right to point out what is wrong with using such a mean-spirited term. If you are younger than 45, you may not remember how ugly this term is. Perhaps, older people in your life continue to use it. People with any sort of conscience have stopped using terms like that out of respect for humanity in general. It isn't that anyone wants to stop people from speaking their mind. It is that we have evolved into a more thoughtful and considerate country. I suggest that you join people of conscience and share your thoughts in a more meaningful manner.
Good luck with your campaign. Personally, I think that it is a waste of paper. And, it will reveal to anyone in NYC that you do not have fact checking ability. So, your message might be a little misunderstood. Or, maybe, that is the message that you want to express. In that case, be prepared for New Yorkers to use their First Amendment rights, as well. I think that you might be surprised at the reaction.
Linda and Sue,
Foreign journalists are just as capable of putting out bad information as American journalists. All of these people shame the profession and demean the value of credible information.
My "Easter Bonnet" was my daughter's creation for the thirtieth anniversary of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held in Dolores Park (San Francisco) this past Easter Sunday. It was a terrific time. The Sisters have done so much throughout the country for people of all sexual orientations. Their work is phenomenal. And, they ask for nothing in return. One of the qualifications for membership that impresses me is that they do not ask for government funding or even donations. In order to join the order, you must be willing to use your own money to help the poor and the needy. Many people think that they are just about dressing up like nuns and parading in the streets. Nothing could be further from the truth. Now, they are not a religious order such as the nuns in the Roman Catholic Church. But, when one considers what they do with little fanfare, they are doing more than the religious could ever hope to accomplish. So, I was happy to sit in Dolores Park and celebrate these wonderful selfless men and women on what turned out to be a pleasant warm Sunday afternoon (unseasonably so - it is usually cooler there). I will probably stick with this icon for a little while longer. It is just me having a lighthearted moment in the cafe across the street from Dolores Park. Thanks for indulging the story of my icon.
"Foreign journalists are just as capable of putting out bad information as American journalists. All of these people shame the profession and demean the value of credible information."
You're just such an encyclopedia of knowledge, Joe. I don't know where we'd be without you.
As I said above, I've never heard of the Sunday Standard before this, so when someone so strongly expresses what you did, "Get serious! "The Sunday Standard!!!... Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!" with a litany of insults in between as to how anyone who could take this newspaper seriously must have to be out of his mind, it makes me think that person knows something about that newspaer that I don't. That's of course, unless it's you or someone like you, who makes decisions about newspapers and everything else based on the pre-packaged and well preserved bandwagon brand of popular notions.
Do you actually know something about this newspaper? I asked you this above, and you didn't give me any answer because you don't know any more about this newspaper than I do.
I do find it very interesting that a newspaper in Kenya, and it is important that it is in Kenya, because there are people he knows there, so back in 2004 when he was preparing to run for Senate, this information made no difference to his eligibility for Senate. If the information had been untrue, however, it's very likely there would have been a retraction and this article online would be nowhere to be found five years later.
So, Joe, I'm so sorry this paper isn't called Arayana's Tribal Post, and I'm sorry this paper's headline is boasting one of its own, and most of all, I'm sorry that you replace any minor ability you might have to think through something and offer something that is actually substantial to the discussion with the audacity of hope that no one will notice you cannot.
That's not how retractions work. The archive will always exist.
Besides, a retraction would be unlikely. Polls show most Kenyans believe he was born there, just as Indonesians believe he was born in their country. If you stick to Kenyan sources, you'd find Obama was born in dozens of homes with countless witnesses at each.
And no, this is not a widely respected paper. They have a history of rather outlandish positions.
That most Kenyans believe he was born there is something I cannot dismiss. I don't know enough about why they have formed such a belief to take their belief at face value, but it does encourage me to find out more why they do believe this. It could very well just be the bandwagon mindset that I see here in the US about many issues, but it also could be something else.
No more will I take as fact your unsubstantiated declaration that it is not a widely respected paper, and your allegations that they have a history of what is your subjective interpretion as outlandish positions than I will of their beliefs without further investigation and revelation of factual information.
The facts belie your words, Sue. Of course, I don't suppose that much matters to you.
Did you read the very article that Linda posted? Credibility is not high on their list of priorities. A cursory reading of their work reveals the obvious nature of their "reporting." It's interesting to me that when you believe something to be true that you don't check it out. But, when you believe something is not true, you demand a "link." Look it up. You are just as capable as anyone of using a search engine to fine out what is happening. If you have something to write in a comment, write it. But, there is no reason for anyone to argue when the facts are staring everyone in the face. Have you ever read Linda's political views. They are not the kind of views that I think that any reasonable person wishes to associate.
I suppose you have valid information and statistics to back this one up just like you do with every other proclamation of yours.
"The facts belie your words, Sue. Of course, I don't suppose that much matters to you."
Your monkey see, monkey do attempt to throw back at me statements similar to what I have said to you in the past shows an ability for some rote learning, I suppose.
Yes, I read the article written by one person so your next sentence after that question makes no sense when you use the plural in referring to their list of priorities, but I didn't expect any sense from you so we all can dismiss that. As a matter of fact, I'll personally dismiss all the rest and allow you to make the statements you made because I've already made statements throughout this thread that would show you, if you had the ability to read and comprehend, that what you say interests you shouldn't interest you at all because it just is not so. Reading what I've said and trying to understand it would take all the fun out of your simple minded banter though, and far be it from me to be a killjoy.
Say it ain't so Joe - I'm crushed! I guess that was YOUR personal point of view? *grin*
'Birther' lawyer to be sanctioned
Published: Oct. 15, 2009 at 1:41 AM
A judge in Georgia fined "birther" Orly Taitz $20,000 for filing a "frivolous" lawsuit to use the courts to challenge President Barack Obama's citizenship.
U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land's order came in a case in which Taitz, a California lawyer and dentist, had filed a claim on behalf of Army Capt. Connie Rhodes, who argued she should not have to serve in Iraq because Obama was not born in the United States and had no right to deploy her, the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer reported.
Land dismissed the suit and Taitz asked him to reconsider. Land received a letter from Rhodes saying Taitz no longer represented her.
The judge told Taitz she could face sanctions if she filed another "frivolous" suit in his court. When Taitz filed a motion for emergency stay, Land gave her two weeks to explain why he shouldn't fine her $10,000.
After she challenged that ruling, he raised the fine to $20,000.
"What she's saying is the judicial branch of government has been subsumed by the executive," attorney Josh McKoon, former president of the Muscogee County Republican Party, said. "That's not a legal argument. That's something designed to be in the newspaper."

Yes, that's it. I brought my laundry to the celebration. I have to admit that I rather like it. I am on Yelp. There are other pictures of the event that are better on my Yelp account.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm not sure that I deserve it. These days, I have to say that I'm being more selfish than I have ever been. I focus on my students and my love for the classroom and give very little thought to the gay rights movement or being involved with other people. It seems to me, Jim, that you are doing much more for the benefit of others than I am.
I suppose that would be difficult to "ahem" swallow (LOL).
Gather keeps the system under wraps to prevent abuse, so I have no idea how it works for sure.
