Republicans in Red; Dems $19M in Black (House of Reps)

Whoaaaa!  In their article about the dim prospects for the Republicans to pick up seats in the House next year, and their infighting, is this bleak passage:

"The GOP’s budget is already strained without the additional races to fund. At the end of August, the National Republican Congressional Committee reported only $1.6 million cash on hand, with $4 million in debt. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, by comparison, had banked over $22 million, with only $3 million in debt."

The article goes into great detail on the situation, mostly from the "R" POV (not surprising).  Worth a read.

That difference between the "R" and the "D" bank accounts is startling, no matter who you support.  And, startling, even when matched with the Dem presidential candidates outraising the Repub candidates.  (I imagine the Senate figures are similar.)
