Remind that nation we and the British fought so hard and lost so mant lives to liberate in WW2?
They really appreciated our efforts and blood.
Blair 'not invited to Chirac's party'
Guest of honour was said to be Russian President Vladimir Putin even though he was not formally attending the summit in the Baltic State. Downing Street, however confirmed that Mr Blair was not on the guest list.
The Prime Minister's official spokesman said that he was not aware of any invitation although he pointed out that Mr Blair will have left Riga by the time the dinner is held tomorrow night.
"The Prime Minister is not upset in any way, " he said.

Uh, Thomas, I'm pretty sure the Russians endured the greatest number of allied deaths in WWII. Look it up.
Vichy French give Nazi salutes.
Name one American corporation with a global footprint that isn't subsidized by the federal government, genius. Why do you think we have military presence scattered all over the world?
"it just goes to show that they didnt want any part in helping the coalation in Iraq either."
Turns out they were right.
eBay. I win.
Jim you are such a loser - you lie at every turn.
"Well actually Jay, Canadians lost more soldiers in WWII than ANY other Country & if it was not for the USA sitting back during most of the war & selling stuff to BOTH SIDES... then it might have been over sooner than it was."
Started off with bogus 'facts' and then followed with an ant-American tirade which has no basis in truth. Dumass. LOL
I did know that Roosevelt let Russia & Germany sort of burn their armies out on each other, which did not much help our post-war relations with the Soviet Union.
Hey Clark perhaps being so intellectually superior to everybody else has made you forget what a simple word like "hipocrit" means. You see I dont know what its like to know the stresses of knowing everything like you so I wont judge you. Look up the word and you will see what I meant by calling the french hipocrits. I didnt say that America doesnt subsidize their corporations I said the french DO yet complain about us for our capitalist approach in the world market. Sounds like a case of foot in mouth disease on the part of the French AND Clark.
The disturbing thing is how the leftwing moonbats think that everybody who hates America is justified because of something we have done. They truly hate their own country.
Do you know history from your anus?
1. The US is NO LONGER in any way subject to Britain. We don't have a Governor-General appointed by them. We don't go to war because they do. FYI, this was all settled over 200 years ago after a fracas called the American Revolution that was settled by the Treaty of Paris.
2. The US initially was drawn into part of WW2 on Dec. 7, 1941 after Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese. On Dec. 8, 1941, Congress, at the request od President Roosevelt, declared war on Japan.
3. In one of his many mind-boggling blunders, Herr Hitler, Chancellor of Germany, declared war on the US. He was not required to do so by the Tripartite Pact, which was a mutual defense treaty. Had the US attacked Japan first, he would have been, but he was under bo such obligation because the Japanese attacked us.
4. On Dec. 11, 1941, the US reciprocated and declared war on Germany.
Got it?
Glad you straightened your numbers out, because I was going to do it for you.
F--- THE FRENCH!
Auntie- -Yeah, I've been to France and met many French people, both here and there. The people are fine; it's their gov't I dislike and this long predates 911. If the whole country sank into the Atlantic, the world would be better off.
1. You said Canada lost more men than the US. BS!
2. You said the US sat "back during most of the war". The war started on Sept 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. France and Britain had made a mutual defense treaty with Poland shortly before, hoping to stop Hitler. Too little too late. They declared war on Germany in Sept 1939. The war ended with the surrender of Germany on May 8, 1945. It lasted 70 months.
3. The US entered the war in December 1941. It was in 42 months. How does that constitute sitting back "most of the war"?
4. Prior to the declarations of war on Japan and Germany, the US was neutral and a non-combatant nation. It had a legal right under international law to trade with both sides.
5. The US DID NOT sit back & finance both sides, waiting until we saw the obvious winner and swoop up the prize. The US fought its way into Germany along side the British (remember they 2 main suppliers of men and equipment for D-DAY?). The Russians came in from the east and kept the eastern part of Europe under their thumb for decades- -something neither the US nor Britain did.
See reality? What are you going to say when reality arrives in the form of a nuclear explosion?
By 1941 it was clear that FDR was desperate to involve the United States in the war. On September 4, a German submarine torpedoed the Greer, an American warship that according to FDR had been on a peaceful mail run to Iceland. This was, said the president, an outrageous act of "piracy." But in fact what took place is that the Greer had been tracking the German submarine for several hours, signaling its location to British air forces that dropped depth charges on the sub--as, in turn, did the Greer itself. As Winston Churchill confided privately to aides, the president had made clear to him that he intended to become more and more provocative, and that, in Winston Churchill's words, "everything was to be done to provoke an incident."
The US had frozen Japanese assets in the US and cut off oil and steel supplies to them prior to Pearl Harbor. Japan was left with about 6 months supply of oil, after which its Navy would be useless. It had to find another supply in that time or cave in to US demands to stop wae in China. This it would not do. It had to go war.
Meanwhile. there was a strong and active isolationst faction in the US. Charles Lindberg was one of its more prominent members. There was also a semi-Nazi German bund and Henry Ford and a number of other prominent Americans openly favored Hitler.

Look up July 10. 1778.
France and Britain officially went to war with each other. The French help to America was just another case of "the enemy of mt enemy is my friend- -a policy that often backfires. It did on us in Afghanistan when we aided the rebels against the Soviets. The success of the Americans helped inspire the Frencg Revolution.
So throught all but 2 1/2 years of the American Revolution, France and Britain were at war. OF COURSE the French aided us! We were fighting the same country! In was a cheap way of keeping part of the British armed and navy penned down here and out of their hair!
ad maybe they don't want to invite Blair since he has essentially been impeached and isn't exactly a favorite of British citizens.
We helped create al Qaeda. Do we claim credit for that too? Or do outcomes and motives actually matter?
If you randomly open fire on a street and kill a murderer, does this mean YOU shouldn't be prosecuted for murder?
You made possibly the weakest and worst argument I have ever seen.
intentions do matter in this case. if you accidentally kill someone you can get off or just third degree. if it's premeditated, it's first degree.
anyone back to your point, which isn;t really a good one anyway, WWII doesn;t mean the French owe the British PM an invitation to dinner for life. Period.
I heard that. Supposedly they are helping Iran with its nuke program and supplying material to it.
Why don't you go to France? But wait till their white flag fsctory is rebuilt. They know how to surrender. They have lots of experience.
Here:
- Gallic Wars
- Lost. In a war whose ending foreshadows the next 2000 years of French history, France is conquered by of all things, an Italian. [Or at this time in history, a Roman
Italian Wars
- Lost.
France becomes the first and only country to ever lose two wars when fighting Italians.

"The French, after an early success at Genoa, were eventually forced to abandon their siege of Naples and retreat. The war ended (1529) with the Treaty of Cambrai (see Cambrai, Treaty of ) and the renunciation of Francis's claims in Italy. France's two subsequent wars (1542-44 and 1556-57) ended in failure. Francis died in 1547, having renounced Naples (for the third time) in the Treaty of Crépy . "

Do you know the concept of "impeachment" does not exist in British law?
The way a Prime Minister is removed is by losing a vote of confidence in Parliament- -Parliament basically says it has no confidence in the man and his leadership. Tony Blair has not even come close to that.
This might help. Look up Stanley Baldwin.

Do you EVER get anything right?
and you know where up is. it's the location in your ass you stick your head in.
from the beeb
Mr Blair has been under pressure to quit earlier than May in order to get a new leader in place before the elections in England, Scotland and Wales - which are expected to be disastrous for Labour.
Now don;t you ever send such a condescending mesage to my mail again, you Nazi fucktwat.
I'll mail to who I please, nutball.
STick to the issues. ANd no, you won't be mailing whoever you please. I just blocked ya.
You didnt have to do this but thanks again.
I enjoy your posts
When the House of Commons passes a Bill of Impeachment and it receives a 2/3 majority vote in the House of Lords, you be sure and tell me, OK?
Stick to the issues. ANd no, you won't be mailing whoever you please. I just blocked ya.
You ought to see someone about that. That's BAD, man.
Did you know Tony is only the 2nd PM since Margaret Thatcher to be elected to 3 terms?
And at his first electon, he was the youngest in 189 years?
Must be something they like about him.
BTW, when WAS the last time you were in Britain to get some frst hand knowledge of the attotudes of the people there? They may be a bit different than you want to believe.
And now lets hear from the frogs:
French President Jacques Chirac was among world readers sending their congratulations to Blair.
"I wish you every success in the pursuit of your important mission," he said.
