A few months back, it was not like this. We enjoyed interacting and arguing. Now there are hardly any articles wort reading. Most, I say not ALL, are not even worth clicking on.
I have seen a lot of old faces disappear from the scene.

They are afraid of any kind of serious writing unless it is instigated by them. Frankly the first chapter gets on my nerves. If I read a first chapter, I don't ever want to read that book again. I want the surprise element intact.

my guess is they hit some saturation point
that is there are enough clicks in a day
that if they lose 10 people an hour ---
well they are okay, until they stop
gaining 12 people an hour

I've seen a few no so nice comments directed at other people, but none at me in over 6 months. I also see some politically correct complaing comments that I view with disgust because I believe in freedom of speech strongly.

Who wants to hear a bunch of anonymous poop- heads anyways.

Thanks I like to read a lot of the poetry, but like you the 1st chapters drive me crazy.
I do see some emotional and viscous attacks on the political side. I think as adults we could better argue facts rather then emotions and insecurities.

Yes, I agree about the first chapter thing. If one wants to read a book, either read it or not read it.

For those who want abominable 'condensed texts' go to Reader's Digest, or better still, try a collection of short stories or essays.
