I am careful to post photos to appropriate groups so imagine my surprise when I get a message that my nature photo was removed from the Gather food group. I never posted it there. Why would I? Then, as I'm selecting groups to post my photos of Spring flowers to (please see my content) I notice tons of new groups, none of which I've joined or heard of. Nothing is in any kind of order. Oh how I'd love to be able to organize my groups by categories. Anyway, I have a grand total now of over 150 groups! It took me forever to sift through all the groups to post my choices. To remove the groups requires doing them one by one manually. The way it's set up it would take me hours because every time one group is removed, you go back to the beginning and then ever so slowly make you way through page after page of groups. After yesterday's disappointing result in my posting experiment article "Does Size Matter?' I'm ready to pack it in. So is it just me?
But I'll be damned if this is going ruin my day. It's the first day of Spring. Winter is over! Happy, happy Spring to everyone!

Thanks for sharing the beautiful daffodils - they made my day. -MEM
When I deleted some groups recently, after deleting the group and confirming that I wanted to do so, I went to the little drop down arrow next to the back and forward buttons and chose "groups" or whatever it said, which took me back to the page I was on before I deleted and confirmed the group deletion. I hope this makes sense. If not, let me know and I'll explain it better. This way you don't go back to the first page of your groups, you go to the page you were on when you chose to delete.

Nana, thanks, that helps!
Grumbling About Gather Glitches
Thanks, Linda
Ugh, is right, Eileen!
I've noticed that there have not been many new articles posted so there must be glitches somewhere. I once posted a story that was placed in a private group that I didn't even have access to. Figure that one out! We had a good laugh about it though. Hang in there...hopefully things will straighten out soon. It does get frustrating at times.
Thanks, Laurie, I'm hanging in for now:-)
I do experience a glitch every now and then, but never one that posts my article or picture to an extra group. Yikes! That's weird. I also have to say...that I've been a member of several other online communities in the past and as far as "glitches" go....I don't think Gather is that bad but that just my opinion.
I'm glad you're not going to let it ruin your day. Happy Spring sweet Layla!! (((hugs))) Now....tell me you aren't ever leaving too!! LOL
AND I have heard that Gather is eventually going to organize our groups for us...or make it so that we can. It will happen...we just have to wait. I'm going to wait. I love it here too much to leave. Come on Layla....let me hear you say it.... say... "I'm going to stay Kyra...I would miss you and other friends too much if I left". Say it!! Say it!! Pleeeeeeeeeeease??? LOL
Pretty flowers by the way
I haven't had this one happen to me... yet.
The solution could be: post to all the wrong groups and have your work magically posted to the correct ones.
Wendy, thanks re; the flowers. I figured if I'm bitching I might as well give you nice to look at ;-)
Matthew, Lol, I guess I need a few hundred more groups ;-)
Friends of Merlin.
Here's something to cheer you up...I learned how to play with photo bucket today and I'd like to leave you with something nice to look at!

Thanks Mo-zy for joining my brand new group which offers members free photo makeovers Your favorite Pics.
Here's a post that talks about how you can use this new glitch to your advantage: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474977684835&nav=MyGather. Thought I'd pass it along! Meanwhile, I've noticed some groups "sticking" on the selected side where after they're selected they cannot be removed within saving the article as another draft and starting new from that draft. Hopefully this will get ironed out per your comment just above.
Meanwhile, I am really enjoying the "Reply to this comment" feature. Good stuff there.
