Snow

I grew up in California.

I always wanted to live were it snowed.

The only time we got to play in the snow.

Was when we took a trip to the mountains.

 

I now live in Missouri.

It snows every year.

I have never played in the snow.

Now i wish we had the mountains.

OK for one a native of Mo it does NOT snow every year. We get Flurries from time to time and we always get ICE :)
Mo doesn't have mountains however we do have HILLS that get the snow/ice first ;)
After growing up in Mo and moving to Or where I lived in a valley and had to have chains on my car to drive over or around a mountain to get to school/store/etc I will take Mo weather any day.. Give it a few minutes the weather will change again:) We have about 1 inch right now on the ground by Grants Farm in STL:) Stay warm Stay Safe and go play in the snow tomorrow, make a snow man, make a snow angel and have fun! Be a kid again!!!!

Melissa If has snowed every year sents I have been back here. Ten years. Not like in the mountains in California, but enough to make a snowman. We have had a good snow at least one day every year. This year we got two feet of snow. We are working on a foot of snow tonight. This is are second big snow this winter. I will be having a snow fight with my son tomorrow. Thanks for comment.

vicky yea its coming down fast and on top of that yucky ice. My son and his cousin has already made a snow ball about four feet tall. Its so huge. Its a good thing missouri only gets flurrys.

It makes me laugh what you said.My husbands cousins came from California for a vist at Christmas. They were born in California also, and had never seen snow!!. Well we got so much that year, that they could not fly out of the airport. They were still here three days later then they should of been. They have never come back again during the winter time. My husband and I have just about decided that we are sick of Michigan weather. Its harder on you the older you get. Shoveling, salting sidewalks and steps, digging out your car every morning. We are making plans to sell out and move to a warmer retirerment comummity.

Well maybe I should do more research :) Here in Saint louis we got about 4 inches last night........ First real snow this year!! We have had ice but not snow. I think we get the arch effect going here. :) I have lived in Stl for 30 of my 32 years in life... So let me rephrase what i said :) Here in STL it doesn't "Snow" every year we get ice, and flurries! :)

Charlene in california you have to go up in the mountains for the snow. The farther north you go the more snow you see. IN the LA area theres not much snow and the west coast theres not much. I grew up in Bakersfield and theres snow all around you, You just have to go in the mountains to see it.

Sweet melissa Im on the otherside of missouri. We have gotten snow every year. Its like we get one day out of the year. This year we have gotten it more. I ready for it to stop now. lol.

Some snow is better than others. Dry snow is better than wet snow, mountain snow is better than midwestern snow, clean white snow is better than old dirty snow.

Paul you are so right. Thats what i try telling everyone here. the snow here in missouri is so much different than the snow in California. The snow in missouri today is good fun fighting snow. Its packing real good and it usally dont.

Cheryl I went out and had a snow ball fight with my son. Then I took a photo of my husband shoveling the ice and he got mad at me and shoveled a scoop of snow at me. then i turned around and got him in the back. That was cute.

Did you lose power my friend? Wondered if you did cause of what I seen on the news about that last storm. We lost our electrical power for 8 days and it seemed totally forever. Last night it snowed here and we got ten inches of the darn stuff. (If it'll make you feel any better I don't have any green grass either)

Paul we didnt lose any power, but springfield and that area did the other day, due to ice storm. We had a lot of ice, then we got snow yesterday and last night. It sould start melting tomarrow. Thanks for asking.
