I tried the Sears thing. I washed my son's winter coat just like the instructions said. It came apart. I took it back to Sears. They said they never had this kind of coat and unless I could come up with a receipt they couldn't do anything about it. I bought the coat last winter, the receipt was long gone. I tried at a few different Sears stores. They all said the same thing. I was lucky enough to have a friend that was a Sears manager. She took care of it for me. She said they are told to make it hard to return kids clothes that have worn out. Most people just get frustrated and give up.
