I collect scary movies every Halloween for a family scary movie night. This year I picked up the Changling with George C. Scott and Tales from the Darkside: The Movie.
The Shining scared me to death. My favorite part, though, was when there was a close up of a tv commercial, and my friend stood up in the theater (she was 6'2", by the way) and yelled, "Why are they showing a commercial?"
I watched a movie called The Entity once by myself and it scared the crap out of me. I had nightmares about it. My favorites are American Werewolf in London and What Lies Beneath.
I love scary movies but I have to say that I've never really found one that actually scared me. Out of all I've seen, I'd have to say my favorite is "The Shining". It probably came closest to actually scaring me.
