Have you read something inspirational or compelling on Gather today?
Is there an image or article that has captured your imagination, or an author that fired up your spirit?
Then recommend that article, image or author to the community!
A new group, The 'Daily Best' of Gather, will publish a daily article, titled "Today's Recommended Reading List on Gather". This article will request your recommendations for the content on Gather that you think is noteworthy in some way.
Simply add a comment to the article, and tell the community who, or what you have 'discovered' today, and maybe a sentence or two on what makes this article, image or author so special.
This is a great way to promote the exceptional work of other members, and to make it easier for all of us to find the 'good stuff' on Gather. Special 'content calls' may also be published from time to time, requesting recommendations for the best content fitting a particular theme or occasion.
To read more about The 'Daily Best' of Gather group, and the daily recommendation article, go HERE .
Please, the daily article is not for the promotion of your own work, only the work of other members.
To make it easier to locate each day's Recommended Reading List, simply type the word dailybest into the 'try your own tag' box, located along the left-hand side of most pages on Gather.
The daily article will commence on Friday, October 13.
Read it? Loved it? Recommend it!

I was unaware of your second foray into this. However, we are serving two distinct purposes here. You are reading and commenting on the work, in the form of a 'review'. That is not what this group, and daily article are about.
The daily article is merely a stop-gap measure until a content 'recommendation' system is implemented on Gather. It is also for capturing community recommendations for images and authors, in addition to articles.
Hence, hopefully you will see that we serve similar yet complementary objectives.
Kevin, are you a "GATHER" team member? Either way is fine just wondered sence your doing a "stop gap" for them.
Thanks Kevin.
No, I don't work for Gather. I am just a member, trying to make the 'Gather experience' a little better for everyone.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I am certain that the idea will be slow to catch on, but I am hopeful that over time, word of the daily article will spread, and perhaps it will become a daily 'must read'.
Note: I am publishing the article each day under the name of the group, instead of my membername. Then, I will not receive Gather Points for it's publication or comment activity.
Thanks Kevin .
(( I do like your idea. I am just whining. ))
I sort of what if Gather may ask you to modify the title, as they did ask me to change my group "Gatherholics" to "Unofficial Gatherholics" because people were thinking it was an Official Gather group and that people were thinking that I was an offiical Gather member, something I know you also suffer from.
You are the only member. Can you update this so we can read what is recommended? Thanks.
Also...........tell me again (I'm so sorry) how can I post a link in comments so that it is clickable?
As I stated above, the purpose of this group, and daily article, serves a completely different purpose than Audrey's two-week 'project'. For your reading comprehension, here is a repeat of the comment above:

This is a program which has been dormant for many months. However, coincidentally, I will be reintroducing the program tomorrow (05.18.07). Look for more information on this later today!
