i think i will just stop using my cc to buy stuff and only go with paypal.... since i ordered stamps from them before that must be how they got my cc number... it sucks...

 I've never heard of nor used Click and Ship, but be careful of paypal too... I wrote about being breached and bank account tapped from paypal account...will NEVER use it again, it was such a Lengthy headache to resolve...and I had to get a new bank account...AIEEE!!!

I've used Click and Ship because I sell things on eBay.  I've never had a problem with it.

Thanks for the warning.  This, I have  found seems to be a "mistake" that is happening and I think it is a dumb thing to get money from people who don't chase it down.

Recently my husband went to Walmart. He spend $150 and wanted $40 over.  He was told by walmart that the bank refused the charge. He was told to contact the bank. So he put the $150 charge on a credit card.  Imagine my surprise after we got  home that the bank paid Walmart $190.  I called the bank and it did get refunded, but what if I hadn't called?  Then I moved money from savings to checking at 9am. There we no charges against my account. Then later on some charges came in and I paid a lot in tranfer fees. So how can they charge me this, when I already moved the money when there were no charges...but they did and won't refund them. They said I didn't move the money first. That really pissed me off.

So I think companys are making "mistakes" to make more money, lest someone doesn't notice.

I find with doctors offices too, if you have a positive balance, you have to ask them for it.  I was overcharged for a long time on my deductible with a chiropractor. Instead of refunding the money when I spoke to them, they gave me credit towards future deductibles on visits. I was not happy about that one.

I started using cash recently when I'm out shopping - I'm using Dave Ramsey's "envelope system", but I've found I have a lot less stress and anxiety using cash than I did when I used to wonder if anyone was watching me type in my pin with my debit card, or fraud of any type pertaining to my cards.  I think I'm going to stick with cash from now on.

Good grief! I had to close a bank account because I bought a music DVD and something attached itself to the order and sucked me dry!

boy does that ever suck beyond the telling of it I bought stamps just last month and Im going to keep my eye on my debit card for sure

What a hassle to have to deal with yet again!  I don't think I have ever used the click and ship, but instead go personally to USPS to drop off packages and or get stamps.  Hopefully, USPS gets this situation rectified soon.

You can always use a credit card for this service, not a Debit card, so then you can disbute any charges that you didn't charge.

Actually, if your debit card has the Visa logo on it then it is covered under the same protection as a credit card.

I have been using just cash for so long.  With paypal I draw it all off my debit card and just use the cash.  I buy money orders if I need to send off a payment.

Wow, that does suck, can you file a dispute w/your bank? I've done that (once) and it got straightened out very quickly. The vendor was Hanes and they refunded their charges FAST.
