It's no surprise that Obama has not read my article on closing Guantanamo. It's a little surprising that he ignores the Senate. I'm not guided by the fear mongers who suggest that the prisoners could escape a maximum security prison and end up in my back yard, and we are already paying for all their living expenses. It's more likely that after wasting millions of dollars on legal costs, some of them will be found innocent and released or serve their time and be released.
I believe it is a realistic threat that they will bring some of the current prison population to their way of thinking. I would also like to believe that Bubba , who is serving 25 to life, will take care of the terrorists in the proper manner. A manner that those who sleep with a Bible or the Constitution under their pillow can not bring themselves to do.
I am very disappointed in Obama. I can only hope that he watched the TV show The Unit and is planning to have the plane, that brings the prisoners to the USA, shot down.

At least we finally have a president that cares about the terrorists' feelings! Shame on you and your uncaring ways that are used for terrorist recruitment!
Prisoners are confined to their cell 23 hours and 40 minutes per day in out Super Max prisons. No one has ever escaped from one of these prisons.
WHAT ARE WE AFRAID OF?
Jeff H. When I want to recruit a terrorist I advertise on Monster.com
"I believe it is a realistic threat that they will bring some of the current prison population to their way of thinking."
Do you honestly think that these prisoners will be released into any general prison population? You've got to be kidding.
The treasonous Fat Head party, and the spineless Democrats who are obstructing the president's attempt to return the country to the rule of law are the real problem. No one has EVER escaped from a Supermax prison.
I'm not worried about them escaping. The only thing accomplished by "bringing them to justice" is letting some ACLU nutcase make a name for himself. I got another sales call on my home phone today. The point being that every penny spent on the National Do Not Call program is wasted money. It doesn't work. The only money I want to spend on terrorists is the cost of one silver bullet.
Without legal proceedings, they're just foreigners who were sold into captivity for the reward money. There's no proof that they're terrorists at all.
That's what the rule of law is about. Apparently, Cheney and Bush must have not thought that they were all terrorists, since they released the great majority of them.
They should send all the terrorists to Alcatraz or Devils Island where sharks will eat them up if they try to escape. Why does it take years to interogate them. They can cut heads off so they don't deserve anthing. Why spend the money taking care of them for years. Just ship them back to where they came from except the major ones. The smart judges and lawyers wil get them off anyway.
JP, finally someone with some common sense. But, let's get back to the constitutional scholars who commented earlier. The rule of law applies to someone who has run a red light, not men captured on the battlefield. I'm reviewing all my old Hogan's Heroes tapes. I can't find one episode where Hogan was given legal representation. In the real world, I don't think John McCain had an attorney in Vietnam either.
Let's say China attacks us next week. One million Chinese land on Miami Beach. While they all stand still staring at a topless sunbather, they are captured. What do we do with the prisoners?
You don't know that all of them were captured on the battlefield. In fact, you don't know if any of them were captured on the battlefield.
