Argh. Just. Argh! (Paypal/Ebay Rant and question)

So, a week ago I bought that marabou boa for puppet hair off ebay. Right that day I clicked pay now and saw the invoice and thought "Good, all paid up" and I sat back and waited for the item to arrive.

Three days ago I wondered what was taking so long, so for some random reason I logged into paypal only to see that it never took the amount out of my account. Then I got a non payment complaint from the owner of the item. (Gee, I clicked PAY NOW who would have thought I didn't do just that - PAY?) Yes, I did log into my paypal at the time of doing this.)

So, I told them I thought it had been paid for and at that point I had $2 less in my account than I needed - since I transferred all monies out once I THOUGHT I had paid. I told them I could pay via a debit or if I got my transfer in time pay with paypal. They said either was fine.

Well, today the transfer came in and I went to pay. Well I clicked PAY NOW again and there's only my address, their address and a summary of monies owed. Great but where the hell can I PAY THEM?

My Paypal is connected to Ebay (something I did NOT want to do) and I STILL CANNOT PAY THEM.

So, how the heck does one pay for something on Ebay with paypal? I've gotten nowhere, and have a migraine for my efforts. I even asked a firend how to do it and she can't remember.

You'd think with it being the preferred method for sellers that they would make the process COMPREHENSIVE and EASY to do. In fact, after this gets paid for I'm closing my ebay account. That's how angry I am right now. After all, I never even use the account. In three years I've used it exactly two times.

The seller does accept cashier's checks, but that's a trip that I'd rahter not take, and that puts payment off another day. I just want this thing paid for now - seeing as I thought I had paid for it a week ago
