Wow, I saw that too. can you believe it? I wouldn't pay that much money to talk to the guy! Geez...I can think of better uses for that kind of money - like giving to the Katrina Fund or helping folks out in tornado ruined areas. Or maybe he could give some of that money to the relief effort in his own country to help with the people who lost everything to that hurricane? Geez...
Absolutely, there are a thousand different ways to spend money you can obviously afford to throw away on people that really can use it or it's benefits. I see nothing wrong with wining and dining someone you're romantically attracted to, but, wouldn't it be better if they reciprocated your' interest...for you and not your' wallet?
Well, I hope Mr. Buffet picked up the tab at least . . .
But to be fair, it was a charity auction, and I think it might actually be a good trend in some sense, if the famously rich take to inventing cutesy ways to justify giving some of their immense wealth away . . .
