I Am Officially OLD!

I picked my husband up last night around 7:45 in Salt Lake City, not at the air port but at a Quickie Mart, he rode with a guy that he works with.

When I picked him he had a coffee maker in tow, our friends that he was staying with gave to him because they bought a fancier model, this one seems pretty darn fancy to me. I have never in my life drank a cup of coffee, I have always considered coffee drinking to be done by "OLD PEOPLE" lol A thing that only adults do, I am not an adult yet...lol but I love the smell the coffee.

With all of the different types of coffee that are out on the market now, I just might enjoy it!! I need to go to Walmart today and investigate the coffee isle.

I learned the joy of coffee my first summer out of high school when I worked from 11 at night until 7 in the morning. I found out that drinking a hot cup of coffee at the 4:15 break would help me keep my eyes open until going home time. From then it's just been a life long love affair. I like Folgers, nothing fancy like almonds or anything in it, with real cream and a spoonful of sugar.

I love a good cup of coffee! I usually go for Eight o'Clock Columbian for the price, with an occasional splurge for the taste, and it has to be good and strong. As for being "old," I started drinking it when I was five or six... and if I told you why, I would then have to follow by writing an article about it, so I won't because I don't have time.

But just for the record, I think snow sucks, too.

If drinking coffee makes one old, I must be freaking Ancient!!! I prefer a Kona blend, as well as hazelnut, but my absolute favorite is a Costa Rican Peaberry, which is rather hard to find. If you really want to like coffee...forego the Folgers, Maxwell House etc ... which are made with cheap beans, and go for the good stuff. More expensive, but well worth the cost.

I drink coffee everyday now that I'm OLD. lol It helps with my energy level.

I can't remember my first cup of coffee but I'm sure I was pretty young then. My son also drinks coffee, a lot of coffee. My head would be ready to explode if I drank that much.

I do like the good stuff, but I don't buy flavored ones. I buy the flavored sugar free syrups to add to the coffee. And I have to have cream. I never drink it plain and black like my son does. Mine is sweet and creamy and almost like a dessert.

I could never stand the taste of coffee when I was young. When I was 28 my 4 yr.l old daughter was a cancer patient at the Univ. of Iowa Hospitals for several months. The water tasted awful and you couldn't even make a decent cup of tea, but coffee masked some of the bad taste. I started to drink it then. Now I do change off between tea and coffee and I like my coffee black or with some Bailey's Irish Cream in it.

Oh my. I was about 8 years old when I had my first coffee. It's been my friend ever since. Even started my son first on tea at about age 8 and now at 14 he has his 'own' coffee (Senso) machine as he prefers flavored (hazelnut, vanilla) to our Folgers.

My daughter would drink coffee if I would let her and she's only 6. I don't drink coffee either but I do like the smell of it. My hubby will drink it black.

I used to drink coffee in high school to wake me up in the morning. My mom always had about 10 different types of coffee around. Now I'm not a coffee drinker. I like cappuccino though.

I started drinking coffee when I was 20. Not often, after I had the little ones it became a blessing. I drink three cups a day. I'm not particular as far as a brand is concerned. Although I really like Dunkin Donuts.

I only drink Starbuck with ton's of sugar and whipped cream. it also has to be cold!
Coffee is one of my favorite beverages (especially during the cold season). My taste of choice is French Vanilla.

I've been drinking coffee since I was -- I dunno, ten, maybe? It used to be an odd little family tradition - every now and then on Sunday, my dad and I would get up and have coffee and those mini-powdered donuts. Although I don't do that nowadays, I do drink coffee -- not because I like the taste, because usually it's bad, but because I want the caffiene kick.

I drink three cups every morning and have for years. It doesn't matter what kind to me. Just black with one packet of sweet and low and I'm a happy camper.

I rarely drink coffee, my three son's like those fancy coffee's and tea's. Youngest got a tea at a tea house that cost $4.50. Now to me the is any one cup of anything worth $4.50 that I would want to drink..

I started drinking coffee when I was in Vietnam , Because there were so few pleasures , that when the chance came along , i'd get in line . By the time I got to the end of the line all the sugar and cream would be gone , so I learned to like it black . Thats why I can't drink iced with sugar or anything else in it . Of coarse as I am getting older I have to pace myself . Darn body isn't keeping up like it used to .

I think I had my first taste of coffee in middle school. My mom let me try a mocha she had one day and I liked it. I've never drank coffee straight, it's always as a mocha or something.

We drink Seattle's Best on our days off and folgers during work week . And since I don't have to go back to work till Jan 2 , I'll be drinking a lot of the good stuff .

I am five years older than you and I dont feel like an adult most of the time either. Sometimes life forces me to be one but I don't like it when it does. I have never drank straight coffee either. We have a convience store chain called Quik Trip and the have a French Vanilla Cappucino that I really like. I also like frappacinos. My wife drinks Folgers Cinnamon Swirl with lite creamer and Splenda
