Lately I've seen several deer on the side of the highway I take to work -- which always depresses me because they are so beautiful when they walk through the woods behind our house.

Skunks. More specifically, the Endiskunks. Usually alive. (Endiskunks are what we call the skunks that live on Endicott College's campus.)

I wonder about those signs, Lora. I wonder if people don't just feel sorry for them and give them a few bucks instead and that's what they're hoping for. And I wonder if they can't afford food because they've blown all their money on drugs and alcohol. I'm just a skeptic, I guess.

We have all varieties of critter living on the campus I work at. Canadian geese, deer, turkey, possum, raccoons, feral cats, foxes, etc. It's a cornucopia of wildlife.

4 legged skunks, haha. We also have peacocks, turkeys, snapping turtles in the ponds, red-tailed hawks, racoons, squirrels...probably more, but I can't think of any at the moment. :-)
