This article is for DM... Thank you for missing these!
I have been out and about each Saturday looking for great finds to buy and resell. I just haven't had the time to post articles about them. I decided it was time to post again. This time I have high hopes that I might beat out one of my highest profits with a find I got this week.
First of all when I headed out on Saturday morning I was actually looking for a good dog kennel for my two pekinges dogs. We are having trouble with the house training of the male so I have decided to try to limit his free time to roam around our house since he has been lifting his leg here and there way too often. I am tired of scrubbing everything down! My first yard sale I found this great big Kennel (with some doggie pee pads thrown in) for $20! Also at this yard sale I purchased 4 black placemats for $1 a $50 priced baby snuggle outfit for $3 (had the tags on it) and ECU Football Helmet for $5. I have 4 watchers on the Helmet right now.

The next yard sale was the bomb!...Although I didn't know it at the time. The man had boxes of miscellaneous stuff for $5 each box. I grabbed a box with some silverware a teapot and a toaster but didn't think it was anything really special. I just knew I could resell some of the items for a profit or I could give the items to my son who is moving out in April for his new apartment.
When I got home I found that the silverware was MUCH nicer than my own so I swapped out and put mine out with my son's stuff in the garage. The Oneida silverware is really nice. BUT then there was a rolled up newspaper with more silverware in it.... GUESS WHAT!??? It was REAL SILVER FROM SHEFFIELD ENGLAND! I looked up the brand and make and just one fork sells for $150! If I even get a fourth of that I will be so happy! I have 18 pieces valued over $2000. MAN OH MAN... that was the jackpot. $510 is my highest profit so far on EBay I hope these silver make more than that!

I also got a Laura Ashley Teapot in that box that I will stick in my yardsale ... ones on EBay just like it have not sold but it should sell at my yardsale.... That box will be worth so much more than the $5 I paid for it.

I also got a set of scales for $1 and Noahs Ark Cake Pan for $1. I got Jordan some Limited Too shorts for $2 each and a pampered chef apple peeler for $1 and some cute little trinket boxes for a quarter a piece.

My last find was this cool US NAVY Metal box with Combination Lock... It is vintage and in awesome shape... and the lock works! I paid $2 for it.
I need to take some more pictures but my batteries are dead... I am charging them now. I will try to post the rest of the pictures tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed my finds... If you are interested in bidding on any of my items... check me out on EBay.... my seller ID is pdfreeth and my store is called Pam's Treasures Found.

I hope you get a lot for the silver.
Good luck with the dogs (we have 7).
I found a great little outdoor pig thermometer, it was the long, spotted variety that got a squeal when I brought it home - who knew?
Thanks Pam!
DM, the Navy box is getting the LEAST attention.. surprises me ... but really for $2 I will use it to store my own stuff if it doesn't sell. I like it! A pig thermometer? Never heard of it ha! I hope that the weather stays mild because we get the best yard sale days when its nice out.
Actually if you think about it... people who buy scratch off tickets (*lottery) only win once in awhile and usually only a few dollars... For every Dollar I spend I almost always make $5 and most times $10 to $15 and then every once in a blue moon you make several HUNDREDS! I love it!
(anything that keeps doggie smells in one place has to be good. you haven't considered a large brick from a height then? KIDDING!)
