GAME - Favorite Floats

It's a tradition in my family to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I can remember sitting on my grandma's couch as a very young child watching with my grandparents.
What are some of your favorite parade floats or balloons? It doesn't have to be from the Macy's parade. It can be from any parade you've ever seen.
List as many as you would like, but only one per post please.

I'll start with ...

My favorite float ever was in a Christmas parade. The float was filled with children from a local orphanage that were waiting to be adopted. As a kid, that really stuck out in my mind and made me thankful for the parents that I had.

So come on, share your favorites. It can be silly, stupid, or touching. Doesn't matter.

I remember one once from when I was a child that was a huge castle that "sparkled" and glimmered. There were Princess' waving from the windows and a horse and carriage there as well. I thought it was magical and in retrospect, I think it might have been with a "Cinderella" theme....it was beautiful and I remember it over 30 years later! Happy Thanksgiving!

I love the balloons at the Macy's Day Parade, but my very favorite float is the very last one with Santa. Macy's usually has a great Santa, not just some old dude with a straggly beard and red suit.

I love the Disney World Floats and in particular the year the Apopka Little League won Nationals. I lived down there at the time and my children were asked to ride along in the celebration! But I am the biggest kid watching all the Disney parades!

Seriously though, I love the floats in the Rose Bowl parade. The use of only natural ingredients, like seeds, flowers and plants must represent quite a challenge for the float designers.

I haven't watched the parade on TV in years (I'm always busy cooking). But I grew up in New York and saw the parade in person every year.

disney land parade float. cinderella. my cousin started talking to cinderellas step sisters, then she interduced me to them. we were 9~i was excited and thought i was so cool
