I don't want a cure - just a temporary respite from my addiction.  You know that you're addicted when the thing you're hooked on radically interferes with your life and for me it's Gather.  I am supposed to be revising for my exam next Wednesday yet here I am, telling myself I'll just dip in briefly before getting started.  I need the support of everyone on Gather to will me off the site. 

Tell me to go. 

Bid me gone. 

Wish me away. 

Believe me, it is in the interest of you all - the course I am taking is Approaching Literature.  Please help me to approach it with care.

Life is always full of many surprises if we have an open heart to see the whole lot of awesome things in store for us continuously...

But you have to exist in order to add color to Gather, so.. in order for you to align neatly.. Do first things first, then you can get back in no time :)

If addictions become scary we understand the need to go in for rehabilitation. But if it is a strange fascination for Gather, you should be thankful that you are hooked onto something that is a virtue and not a vice.

Bless the person who inintroduced you to Gather. This is an addiction that is similar to the cravings a bookworm has.

Be thankful and preparations for your exams will folow a normal course.
To hell with it, Moya, enjoy your addiction, revel in your addiction .... damn, I must be overdosing on this bloody coffee.

Please Moya, do what you have to do. Get up and away from Gather - it is a syrupy sweet liquid addiction that feeds us all until we sleep and eat no more, clean no more and study no more, and have no more familyl left.

I know how you feel Moya - I have found ways of doig husehold things that don't require I be in complete attendance - laundry, baking, bread machine making - so I can toss whatever I need together and get back to Gather - I don't have a clue as to how to break the addiciton - Good Luck

I am considering getting something resembling a real life, in order to break my Gather addiction. I believe this may involve engaging with three-dimensional people, having actual experiences, and leaving the house.

Internet forums such as these are the bane of the introvert's existence . . . all the semblance, none of the reality.

Moya, I never thought I could leave *Gather* and yet I did.
Just, recently return and now it feels as if I never left. Although, I feel I accomplished so much while I was gone...I needed a break. Now, I am so very happy to be back to rejoin with *old* friends & meeting *new* friends. I consider it to be a double gift!!

Remember, Gather & all your friends will be cheering you on during your exams...and, you will return to many smiling faces & open arms!

Too many of you to thank individually but I am really grateful for all your advice and good wishes. Today I did the exam and all I can say is that I got through the questions. I now have to wait until the end of the year to see if I've passed. It's lovely to be back catching up on Gather. Moya

Here I am again late as usual. I use to be a punctual gal then came gather with so many to read and so much to say. Yes we need to start a group for us who are addicted but then we would have to meet here which would defeat the purpose. Oh well. If it is not too late GO STUDY Moya!

Did you study? I used to be incredibly addicted to this place called Gather and it interefered with every aspect of my life; now, I have it somewhat under control.
Moya, Tell us exactly what you are studying and post it in a game forum. We'll ask you questions and you get gather points.

Addictions can be worked around people. I've posted a few of my papers for school on Gather you know.
Oops just saw where you already took it. I hope you did well :)

Kathryn, I did far less than I should have so I shall be crossing my fingers until after Christmas whn I get the results.
