They are trying to get adults in not seel to children. If the adults are stuid enough to by that is one thing. Children play with all kinds of toys. Hopefully when they are grown they don't try to buy the large size of all toys. What I'm not saying very plain is that the toys are just to get adults into their showroom.

Julie, I hate to disagree, but, it is designed to get adults to come in to get a toy for the children. The toy to the child is just like playing with a toy Ford or toy fire truck. Giving away a toy is to get the adults into a showroom. Should you take away any toy that a child can play with because they represent something that could be bought later in life?

I can see what you are talking about, but if you look at most childrens toys, they will probably have many toys representing objects that they could possibly buy when they grow up. I don't believe that playing with these toys will influence them when they grow up. I'm not trying to be hard headed. It is just what I believe. If anyone gives my grandchildren any type of toy that is safe and they enjoy playing with, I will not advise taking it away from them. I believe that a lot of children's toys do not represent something good.

As the mother of 2 boys, I would have to say that a "Hummer" truck is just another one of the vehicles in their collections....as to whether it will make them want to buy one...my 13 year old wants a Porche and my 8 year old wants a truck like "Dad's"....and belive me, Dad is NOT driving a Hummer! LOL

My two boys are the same way...My teen wants a corvette. Not a hummer. Like his friends want a hummer. Hummers go past our place every day...No big deal.
My 7 yr old has a hummer hotwheels in his collection...He wants a huge 4 X 4 truck when he gets older. So he can go mudding like his daddy.
