Just an Ordinary Saturday!

Well I'm drying my laundry that I had to wash at the laundromat again, because the part to my washer is still not in.  We're going on three weeks since the washer broke down.  We got up early and were the only people there.  It was nice.  Now I'm drying them.  I baked some chocolat chip cookies, which turned out great!  My husband is watching John Wayne and my daughter is wrestling with the dog in the bedroom.  Oops she just got in trouble with Dad!  It's a slow quiet Saturday.  How is your day going?

hi there, Christine, it's 11:00 a.m. here and we're about to have breakfast - it's a gorgeous day today - lots of sun reflecting off the snow - we'll go on a long walk, do some work on one of the gates and then start packing for the trip back to Santa Barbara on Monday. We'll miss Isabel! Enjoy your weekend and sorry about your dryer - been there! Salud

Hi Christine! I sure hope your washer is fixed soon. I always hate having to haul my stuff to a laundromat. At least you got there early and didn't have to deal with a crowd! My youngest son had his first basketball game today, which he loved, so we are having a good Saturday here.

Wow, that sounds soooo familiar! I should of gone to the laundromat yesterday when the weather was still nice, but did I? Nooooooo.......now have to get out in all this ugly snow........well, either today or tomorrow, as my washer's been broke down for quite awhile....it sure does get to be a pain, though, doesn't it?
The guys got out and shoveled....even the driveway, so that's good....I think we may be going out for lunch after a bit and I need to stop at the post office with bills, refunds, and other stuff. Put a roast in the crockpot for this evening's meal......that's about it.

same old hectic day as any other day. The only difference is in what I am doing. I got all three grandkids while their mom tries to get a few hours of sleep before she goes back into work tonight. Everyone else is either gone to work or gone to visit a friend. I finally broke down and put dinner on in the crockpot. Now, if I can only get some laundry done and some more gathering. I still got over 50 points to get today.

The cookies sound good, I made a double batch of chocolate chip the other day, my oldest eats at least 1/2 dozen each time he passes through the kitchen. Sorry to hear your washer is still broken, hope the part comes in soon. I have laundry, vacuuming, etc you know the routine.

It's a nice sunny day here, 66 degrees and the sun is so warm. I helped my neighbor clean up the pond, changed the sheets and I'm now doing laundry. That's about it. A cold front is moving in so I'm thankful for the beautiful weather today.

After the snow storms we had a big pounding/blowing rain storm and the trees lost many branches so I was out cleaning up the farm. It is coldish today and so baked cookies sounds very good.

I know how it feels to have to schlep all that stuff there and back. Wow. Quiet day here. Cleaning house in between gathering and waiting for my husband to get home from work. Been a steady snow all day so we will not be going far. Daughter is playing dollies and helping me clean. Son is gone to his dad's for the weekend so no fighting over the computer.

Waiting for the snow to stop to go shovel. Laundry done. Ready to make chicken n' dumplings and a batch of spaghetti sauce. No more cookies! But a pie or cake sounds good. There is always tomorrow for the list of 1,000 chores.

ARGGHH! Appliance problems! My dryer died about a month ago and while I've been able to cope fairly well by planning ahead with my loads so I can either hang stuff up or run to the laundromat, I just bought a new one today--and had to get it home and into the shed before the bad weather hits this afternoon...we are due MORE rain and then freezing stuff again on Tuesday, when I will most likely be on the road home from Arkansas.

It's much easier to do without a dryer than it is a washer...you have my sympathies! Hope that pesky part comes in soon.

Oh wow three weeks ;0( I sure hope it gets fixed soon!

My guy went and talked with a guy he worked with for years and now repairs appliances and runs the habitat for humanities place selling us another oven, replacing the one that caught fire.
Things are getting back to a little normal here, whatever normal is ;0)

My day is not bad so far, thanks! I don't envy you going to the laundromat. Since I moved out of my parent's house 10 years ago, I've never had my own washer/dryer so I love having one in our house! :) I can't imagine going back now!

My Saturady started late, I took my 16 yo to the 4-H to go on a field trip. Then I went to Walmart to buy dog food, which ended out taking hours. Then we came home and I took a nap until time to pick the oldest son back up.

I know that going to the laundry mat is no fun. the one we had to go to before we moved was horrible. It always smelled like dead fish. I hope the part to your washer comes in soon.
