It's now been 31 days since I arrived home from Arizona. I'd love to be back right now, but all this flying back and forth will cost money.
It's been the same amount of time that I have not had consistant phone or internet service because of the screw up with my old phone company.
It's been two weeks since I started negotiating with Bell Canada to get me a phone ASAP, but things keep screwing up.
First Old phone company wouldn't release the line so I have to change numbers
Second Work order came, but it was for the wrong instalation, so not only do I not have a phone, but as a freak accident the guy's equipment screwed up my radio (see yesterday's article titled "radioinactive" for that.
Third the guy claimed to have come today to hook things up, but there's no way he could have, because I would have heard the bell ring.
They say they are going to come tomorrow, but I don't know. This is nuts!!!
Amazon said they shipped the box of books I ordered, but they can't get here soon enough. They shipped one, which I devoured in no time. I wish I had my books now, since Gather is going to be down for a while tonight.
They had to go down at 11 O'clock. DAMN! Why not 8 or 9, because 11 is when the Second Cup closes, and I have to come home. LOL
To top it all off, my cellphone bill is going to be extremely high because with no phone that was the only way I could contact Walker.
Did I mention that I didn't even HAVE a cellphone until all this happened, when I decided to buy one since it would be better than nothing? LOL

The first phone company which is like Rupert Murdoch...they own everything in Canada that isn't nailed down. Now she's dealing with the Canadian subsidiary of good ole Ma Bell.
While Gather is off tonight, you can always listen to Radio Alla :)

Yes the site was greatly improved, but I still missed it when it went down that night.
You explained my phone company situation quite well. Since Bell was originally a Canadian, we had the name Bell for our phone companies first. LOL
The gather points are definitely a bright side. I earned a hell of a lot of them for this one.
I know that I am going to hae a hue phone bill this month (my cellphone!) but it is going to be worthit, and the hone company is going to reimburse me for all the cellphone calls to Arizona that Ishouln't have had to make. if they'd done their job properly in the first place.
