My boyfriend has always snored, but recently it has gotten to a point where I can't even stand sleeping in the same room with him. We've tried breathe right strips, but they don't seem to work. Any other fantastic suggestions?

Emily, there is a dental device that costs several hundred dollars that forces the mouth open and improves air flow. That might be an option.
You should consider allergies and investigate whether a nighttime antihistimine might help.
Snorers are often louder in one position than another. I spend a lot of time moving pillows and pushing my beloved into different positions until he is a little more quiet.
Sometimes just rubbing his back or arm gently disrupts the snoring enough to let me get to sleep.
Since nothing quiets him entirely, I wear earplugs with a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 33 that I buy from an industrial safety store by the box and when it is really bad, I sleep with my iPod.
I know one couple that has a house with two MBR suites - one up and one down. He sleeps in one, she sleeps in the other and they are still together after nearly 30 years.
Good luck.
I snore very bad and have resigned myself to sleeping in another room so my poor wife can get some sleep. I wake myself up sometimes! The doctor gave me 50/50 odds after surgery and I decided not to have the surgery untill the odds improve.
Now the only problem comes from when he knocks the mask off his face in his sleep. Then it's like darth vader breathing in your ear. Of course I am instantly awake at that point, lol! That doesn't happen too often thankfully.
Yes, I agree, take him to the doctor and see if it can be cured. I know I've heard that snoring can be a sign of other medical issues.
I think probably the suggestion of seeing a doctor about it is a good one. He might have sleep apnea.
If that doesn't work, just take him out to the pasture...
It does sound like Darth Vader. I like that part.
