I mentioned earlier that a woman backed into my car when she pulled out of her parking space in the Costco parking lot a couple of weeks ago. She lied to her insurance company (State Farm) and said she never even touched my car. The State Farm adjuster came and said it was pretty obvious that there was contact and told me the claim should have no problem to go through. But I got a letter from State Farm yesterday, saying that their client was not legally liable because the timing and magnitude of the damage did not match up (whatever that means) and therefore, they were denying the claim.
I thought that was outrageous. She hit me, and she needs to be responsible. I filed a claim with my own insurance company too, but they told me it would be hard to fight because there was no police report and no witnesses, and there is probably no matching damage to her car because she had a big fat SUV.
I feel like every time when I try to be nice to people, I just get screwed myself. I could have insisted to report to the police that day, and I could have asked for people to be my witnesses (the parking lot was packed and many people saw it happen). But I didn't, because I didn't want to leave her driving record a black mark for minor things like this. And now she has turned around and bit me.

Hugs to you!
I'm a great believer in karma, or I'd be hunting her down to exact revenge!
And the insurance companies wonder why we hate them?
