It's a Horrible Day

Today just didn't turn out good for me. It was thunderstorm in the morning and I got all wet. Someone (for work) didn't show up to the office until 3 PM, so I had to work until past 6 PM to accomplish things that could have been done in the morning. And the last 20 minutes was just me listening to that person ranting about how behind schedule we were (go figure).

I took my mom to do grocery shopping, and the grocery employee gave me the attitude "Didn't you read the sign?" Then when I tried to tell my husband the story after I got home, he kept interrupting me so I gave up on ranting (I am going to post on Gather instead ~ at least you guys would "listen" to me). Then he made that really strange remark that there's no point in helping me.

I don't usually feel this &#%^@Q.

Selene, I hope you and your husband can sit down and discuss what happens at the end of the day. You guys didn't invent this problem. So often the husband comes home and is thinking about his day and the wife is focused on her day. They go to bed thinking that the other doesn't listen and doesn't care. Maybe you can start by asking how his day went and indicate that you'll listen but then you want him to hear about how your day went. It's called communication. It breaks down so easily in so many couples.
