Okay...I feel like being one of those obnoxious bragging mothers today. For the past couple of days I've been feeling a bit melancholy. The holidays often do that to me. My parents passed away several years ago, and my children are pretty much grown. My youngest just turned 16. So there aren't any little children in the house anymore, and mine seem to have no interest in getting married or having children....(which I hope someday changes)....sigh.
But aside from that, my kids are soo great. They haven't had an easy life. They've seen a lot in their growing up years. But they have always been good kids, and every time I'm around them, I feel so blessed that they are a part of my life. So I thought I would introduce you to them....:)
This is my oldest son, Rob...who is also a member of Gather. He is a wonderful artist, screenwriter, producer/director. He is currently going to college and wants to get a Master's in film making. Aside from that he is easy going, very intelligent, and has a wonderful sense of humor. He loves to travel and most recently spent a couple of weeks in South Korea. I plan on interviewing him one of these days on Gather, and I will share the links to some of his work with you.

This is my middle child, Christy. Christy started out as my little girl. Now she is also my friend. Christy is a loving, happy, extremely compassionate person. She has a very outgoing personality, and can light up a room as soon as she enters. She has come through some very difficult times, and she is a survivor in the truest sense of the word. She manages a jewelry store now and plans to go to college next year...doing something in which she can help others. She has a special heart for those with disabilities. Christy was always the one in school to befriend those children nobody else wanted to be friends with. That's the kind of wonderful person she is.

My youngest child is Timmy. Timmy is 6'3" tall now, and I find it so hard to believe that this is my baby. Timmy is the jokester of the house. No matter how sad or down the rest of us may be feeling, he always know just how to make us laugh. He truly cracks me up. Right now I'm so proud of Timmy. He goes to a school that has a history of gang violence and there are a lot of racial undertones. Timmy is one of the white minority in his school, and there is a lot of pressure to join gangs and such as a means to fit in. Despite all of that, he says no to it all. He has no interest in gangs, drugs, or drinking. He has picked some really wonderful friends. In their extra time they are all usually here at our house playing video games or skateboarding. Timmy's rebellion is his long hair....(which I'm jealous of because it looks better than mine...lol) Timmy doesn't love to study, but this year he has buckled down and pulled his grades way up. He wants to join the United States Air Force when he graduates and after that he wants to be a police officer.

I love the youngests hair. It makes me jealous too.
Your daughter sounds alot like my oldest son. He was always friends with the ones that others thought were strange and were treated like an outcast.
The oldest is very handsome too. you really are blessed and for someone to rate an article like this less than 10 is uncalled for. I think you did a wonderful job bragging on your children.
Any who..I wanted to let you know.
Pam...I don't let silly low ratings bother me. They always say more about the rater than they do about the article.....and make absolutely NO difference in the scheme of things.....:)
I was bragging on my oldest daughter at work yesterday. She got into the college that was her first choice.
Nice to meet your kids!
