Rude People

I hate rude people. This is a rant and it will be a short one, but why don't people have common sense. I was with my nephew at the mall the other day and he was trying on shoes. A full grown man stepped on his shoes that he wasn't wearing leaving all kinds of scuff marks. They weren't even in the way. So, we cleaned them up and then when we were walking thought the mall, people swearing and yelling, not paying attention as they walk into you. What an example for the kids. Sometimes it drives me nuts. My nephew even noticed and asked why people don't pay attention? What did I answer? I told him that what was important was that he pay attention and use his manners maybe it would teach others. What did I want to answer? Well, that would be RUDE....LOL

Rude people are all over the place !! I cannot stand rude people either.

Ya gotta love the people that won't say "excuse me" either.

Or they won't say "excuse me" if they want you to move, they just stand there looking all stupid.

I personally blame the parents! We have to be taught to be nice right? So in turn these people are being taught that it is ok to do these things. I think it is funny when my three year old can and does use the phrase "excuse me" when going in front of an adult who had just walked right in her way. I love it when the littlest people can put a rude adult in there place with so little effort.
rudeness is expanding -- metastasizing
A little bit of consideration for others goes a long way, as does rudeness.

It's a natural progression of the 'Me' generation, and one of my biggest pet peeves. It takes no effort at all to be polite. When I was on crutches, I had people drop doors in my fact, and even say &%$@ you when I said something to them because they were parked in Handicapped spots while I had to crutch in from a distance.

Very good post! I wrote a story about manners dying out too.
Hmm....In the late 60s or early 70s I described this as "total rudeness." I think it's a consequence of increased population density. My dad grew up in NYC, born in the 1920s, and was as rude as they come, a true stereotyped New Yorker.

Rude people are stinky and deserve to be poked in the eye at least once, possibly several times, until they understand the concepts of politeness and courtesy.

Rude people drive me up a wall as well since I'm the type of person who tries to be polite no matter what -- sigh.

It amazes me and annoys me at the same time, how rude some people can be, and not feel guilty or anything about it.
