I am lucky I have a great tolerance for alot of books and have read so many it is hard to say. I think if forced, I might say thrillers, but only the ones that really make you think. I also like true crime. Although my most favorite series in the whole world is the Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Plum series. I laugh so hard when I read those my kids think I went nuts.
Dawn, yes I have. The whole series is wonderful. I love how Nora can write just about anything from sappy romance to romance/mystery to futuristic type......... It all just kind of pulls you in and you can't put the darn book down to get anything else done.
...mysteries, crime novels and ones that feature "forensic" scientists....but then again, I'm a book a holic so if it has printed words, chances are great that I will be reading it! LOL
Westerns are my favorites. I also read Science fiction, mystery/thrillers. I have been known to read most genres. But, these are the ones I look for first. I have been scouring the used book stores for The Children of the Lion Series by Peter Danielson. I was given the first book in the series by a friend and was hooked. They are pretty hard to find though.
I love true crimes, mysteries, chick lit, a good womens' mystery. Like Janet Evanovich, Elaine Viets (Dead End Job series), most anything I can my hands on. I also like Ann Rule.

Nora Roberts is my favorite.
As for the question... I read any book that I can get my hands on, I just love to read I'm a total bookworm.
It all just kind of pulls you in and you can't put the darn book down to get anything else done.
but I'd probably have to say mystery with a bit (not much) romance thrown in
