Charles Gibson will not ask tough questions, will not make her defend her reprehensible record. Charles, if you have actually investigated her record, I can't believe, with what I know of you, you are supporting her, she's raised taxes, left her little town in massive debt, been a veritable earmark loving whore. Was a protege of Ted Stevens, the list goes on. Of course the value of her two speeches she didn't even write, and the way in which that motivated the base transcends that she, like McCain are not at all what you believe in.
Bill Moyers is the most credible journalist I can think of. I think it would be terrific if he could land interviews with all the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

I think that many are questioning things about her that mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. I haven't given anyone my support yet. Despite how many times I hear on Gather "How could you not support Obama" I have not made up my mind. I support her right to be a working mother without it being used against her. Nobody would ever question Bidens choice to continue to serve after the death of his wife. Nobody would question Clinton being President and a parent. I have never heard anyone question any candidates ability to hold an office and be a good parent at the same time. Right now that is what I support about her. And I will try and find the opposing view because that who I am. So when Obama goes on about McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time I will point out that he voted party lines 97% of the time.
The media has tried to sensationalize things as much as they could, based on the fact they are interested in sleaze and ratings, and some on the left have joined in, but the American public does have a right to be able to judge this candidate, like any other, on her convictions and her record. The idea that Palin has garnered more derogetory press, considering she was foisted upon the voter with sixty days till the election, and she is, or was, a virtual unknown, unlike Biden or anyone else involved, is hardly surprising, especially as they didn't come right out and announce things they should have known would be controversial, and subjects of speculation. I think that was intentional, to garner sympathetic reactions, myself. Families, except as they affect the functioning of a candidate should not be part of the frenzy, but honest questions about her record, especially in light of the conflicting image they are trying hard to establish for her, are germane, and the public's right to know, before they cast a vote for or against is a valid argument.
And Charles, Obama isn't trying to give the illusion of breaking with the Dems, McCaine IS trying to give the illusion of breaking with Bush and the party hierarchy that brought the last eight years. Therein lies the difference.

Charles Gibson, I will almost guarantee you, will not go where he needs to with the questions, in fact, I would be willing to bet he won't even know the questions about her record he should ask. Will he ask her about her directorship of Ted Stevens 527? Will he ask her about using his lobbyist and obtaining every little earmark she could get her hands on as mayor, and then as gov? Just what I want a heartbeat away from the presidency, a woman that has the best interests of Alaska at heart and actually hates the USA.
