Legendary filmmaker John Sayles is an independent pioneer in the cinematic landscape. He makes movies about small town struggles with big social themes such as "Matewan" "Passion Fish," and "Sunshine State."
His newest film, "Honeydripper," now out on DVD, is a Deep South fable about the beginnings of civil rights and rock 'n roll.

For those of us who fish, adore fishing and all things related to fishing we got Passion fish on a different scale.
Honeydrippers........What's that? A Robert Plant- Led Zepplin song name? A river like Styx?
Seriously, for those of us who are and have been countrified and know what a Honeydripper really is, this movie can only be da S*&@ if it came from Mr Sayles.
