Well gang today is break day as are all Wednesday polls. So here goes............................
Does the recent diagnosis of reoccurring cancer in Tony Snow and Elizabeth Edwards make you more or less likely to ask you doctor for cancer screenings even though you may fell healthy?

I watched all four of my above named loved ones suffer from cancer, as well as suffer from the treatments that were supposed to help them.
Sad thing is that there is probably a cure for cancer, but that would put a lot of people out of work. A sad and sick fact of life.
So I say, have the check ups, but also listen to your body and dont back down from doctors!
I also have a friend that was feeling slightly off, but put off seeing a doctor. he then injured his hand and almost lost it due to infection. Further tests showed he had leukemia.
So I say see your doctor for regular checkups!
My life is in a better place now and I went last week. I have a tumor and got a biopsy today. We shall see how much my hiding my head in the sand will cost me. So I say get checked everywhere and often.
good question carol....as always
For men, it's getting checked for prostate cancer, and my husband is already complaining about those even though he's still young. Doctors suggest men get examined starting in your forties, I think.
When I went for my first female exam, that is what they found. I've been battling it every since.
So, I'm a stickler for regular screenings.
