I just got my home depot card from gather and replaced all my light bulbs with the energy star rated bulbs. I hope it helps. If everyone just did a little bit instead of nothing it would help

I recycle...

Magazines, News Papers, Heck even bottes... You can get money for the cans and bottles you recycle...

Heck, if I am waiting for the bus or my mom, and I see a bottle on the ground... I will pick it up and take it with me, and wait till I get home... And put it with all my others... :)

I beleive that we are currently in a state of global warming but I do not believe it was induced by man. I don't think that all of our conservation efforts will have any serious impact on the temperature or ice caps or polar bears.

I think we should keep on trying to conserve so that the earth is a more pleasant place to live but it won't change the temperature.

Gotta disagree nanci my friend. We are the first species to inhabit this planet that has the technology to change its climate. There have been major extinctions in past history of this planet. But this one we will bring about. And good for you felicia youre making a difference. And Nanci mankind is just one more of many species on this planet. We can become extinct as well. Which maybe for the best as the planet without us would heal in time.

I think it exists. My science teacher agrees with Nanci B. She believes that we should be more scared of nucleur bombs. But she is a little crazy. She's definitely not sane.

Certainly, there are changes going on with Mother Earth, as they always have. But, no, to say that (1) some massive, hysteric phenom of global warming is occurring, and (2) man is largely the culprit is simply absurd. Contrary to what has been said here, the evidence is BY NO MEANS OVERWHELMING THAT GLOBAL WARMING EXISTS.
but, it is catchy, and helps with potential presidential campaigns.

I will admit that Judy G. brings up an excellent point As she very eloquently said, "Even if it is not as severe as some would say, couldn't we be better stewards of the earth?". Excellent point, Judy!!

Is there global warming? Yes.

Now to add to that (I can never just say "yes" or "no") - Would there be without our major optional imprints? Yes. Could we slow things down by being more cognizant of our imprints. Certainly. Can we stop it altogether? No.

As I will probably be dead before and have no children , the fact that people deny it is ok with me.
They obviously don't care for Mother Earth or their own children.
When the greedy figure out a way to make outstanding profits , then something will be done.

While it is quite possible we are, and we should do what we can to minimize our contribution to that process; but I for one am tired of having all the ills that befall this planet or the environment blamed solely on humans. I sometimes think many members of our own species think we should sacrifice our survival rather than take the risk that another species become extinct as the result of human activity!

carol there are many so called ills that face this planet and some especially those of geological origin like earthquakes and volcanos we cant change. But I agree with you that we change what we can. Even if you dont believe in evolution the creation story clearly has God making us stewards of what he has given us.
