Hamilton, Ohio...Mark Foley is NOT the only pervert Republican who is running around the country being a societal wierdo.
On Monday Scott Blauvelt, 35, was charged with two fourth-degree misdemeanors in connection with incidents authorities said occurred on separate nights. Blauvelt has worked for the city of Hamilton since last March, according to personnel records.
So, what was Blauvelt doing you ask...strolling aournd the building NAKED! I made a call to the city government in Hamilton, Ohio to verify that Scott Blauvelt was a Republican, and recieved a reluctant affirmative.

this guy sounds kinda harmless, if all he did was take off his clothes and go for a walk. doesn't sound predatory to me. might have stopped taking medication or something.
if i had been caught once, i think i would have tried to address why i had been walking around my workplace naked. but i'm glad he was caught. now the court will address his behavior and hopefully he will get help for a period of time.
i gotta go now. gotta take off my clothes and walk around my neighborhood.
"some matters are clearly republican problems?"
one assumes that you must mean only Repubs would want their bad guy to resign? Dems don't? C'mon, Foley was a gay who liked to chase pages but its not like there have been no Dems who haven't done the same...only difference in this case is the chaser resigned appartently before he bagged a page The last male Dem to do a male page got reelected...
It is true though that preaching you are morally superior all the time sure makes for a good ribbing when its shown that high ground is not shared by all in your party...Maybe because Dems don't even try that angle so thats why failures of that sort don't get the same kind of attention...
LOL mark Pholey......hope floats!
Pull the both sides do excuse, the dog ate my moral compass excuse.
The Republicans showed simply that keeping Foley's campaign monies coming and and maintaining their power is all that they care about.
The issue is the party in power covering up a sexual predator among their top leadership and leaving him in charge of policies for missing and exploited children all the while that he was attempting to exploit children himself.
That's called "situational ethics" and the Democratic party is full of that kinda thinking. I see it all the time at party meetings. Hopefully, Conservative Democrats will watch, learn, and overcome...........eventually.
The only one that matters is Bill and his impeachment. Nothing can compare to that.
Irrational hatred seems to breed selective outrage.
I've noticed in the past that Republicans take a much worse ass-whooping when they do something wrong politically. Maybe its because they sell themselves as the party of Family Values, or the party of Conservatives, or other groups that try to take the high road. Personally, I think everyone would love to be strong enough to adhere to those values............but can't, for whatever reason. Maybe the Republicans have just set the bar far too high for any politician in their party.
I see Democrats (I am one, so I feel I have the right to criticize my own) as being the party of lesser standards - and that's why we tend to punish our own far less harshly when they break ethics rules. We are therefore more inclined to have what I call "situational ethics". We don't oversell ourselves. But then, we tend to always look a little less 'above-board' when we advertise that way. But that also invites the ethics abusers, such as Ted Kennedy, to come on-board.
A "paper error?" He was paying taxes through a mobster associate on this land the entire 3 years that he "didn't own it!" It was hardly a case of a rogue piece of "paper" that happened to slip off the signing desk and onto a camouflaged carpet. Puhleeze.
By the way, funny that Sandy Burgler is still a free man!
I am a recovering democrat as well. I dont feel the republicans set the bar too high for humans but it is set too high for certain individuals. I agree democrats do have lesser values not so much that they dont know what is right or wrong but they tend to make excuses for bad behavior. They try to understand why people do certain things and the sympathise the issue.
For instance, the democrat establishment have been pretty hard on christians. They used to enjoy a lot of support from christians as the democrats were always seen as more compassionate. Then Clinton came to town. What Clinton did was wrong and he lied and ordered people to lie to cover his tracks but in the end he was caught and was forced to appologise to save any face or credibility he may have had left. I am a cathoilic turned born again christian and I can tell you that when Clinton appologised and acknowledged that what he did was wrong, most christians forgave him and thought he did the right thing by appologising. It could have been over but aftwerwards when polls showed most americans could forgive Clinton but the democrats overread their hand and began their assault on christian morals and christians as a whole. Be it to save his legacy or payback on certain christians that were exessively critical of him I dont know. Thats how the democrats began losing suppoert especially in the south.
The point is this, democrats like to label and group everybody. The establishment has an unreal group think mentality. They lineup and protect their own with ferocity at times regardless of what they may have done. To a democrat you arent an individual you are either black, mexican, republican, christian, womam etc. A member of a group. So when somebody from a "group" they disagree with does something wrong they take advantage of the situation by attacking the entire group. That in my opinion is why America is so polarised. On the other hand they also try to protect people from their own "groups"
I come from a big democrat family and have become a black sheep but I asked my brother once why democrats always find outrage with republicans in ethical situations and find excuses for members of their own party. He told me its because republicans are the ones who preach it. He has a point but the sad thing is republicans tend to join in on the outrage and there is no defense for bad behavior for a republican. Democrats enter the world of hipocracy when they not only blame entire groups for the actions of a few but to hold the ones they disagree with to a higher standard than they hold themselves. And they invite being labeled by condoning the bad behavior of their friends and allies.
There are lots of democrats that can and do live with higher standards set by republicans and even higher than a lot of republicans. But who would ever know when they condone weakness of others?
Give me a BREAK....most child molesting, pedophile perverts and criminals were/are Republicans.
Bushes Admin under ten for now -- Clintons admin near 50 encompassing almost a third of his cabinet.

As far as NAMBLA Nancy pelosi marches with them in the san fransico gay parades. She is house speaker so should we go by porgies standards and say all democrats are gay child kolesters? Of course not.
