It's time to stop being politically correct, time to cease our worries about OFFENDING Muslims, and start doing some serious smack down on the fanatical lunatics within Islam. Setting aside all the terrorists attacks, let's look at their reactions to normal every day events.
First, we had them rioting in the streets, burning flags, and doing millions upon millions of dollars in damage because a Danish paper ran cartoons that they found offensive. They were cartoons for Christ's sake, and not even that controversial....especially when compared to some of the ones ran in Musliim papers concerning Jews and Christ. They have this incredibly naive set of double standards.
Then, we had the whole Pope situation. Now, I am no fan of the Pope, but give me a break...more riots in the streets, the needless killing of a nun all because the Pope used a line in his speech that shines in a negative light towards Islam and Allah...well, Allah can kiss my butt, and if he were here, I'd hit him with a shoe.
Now tonight on CNN, a German Opera has had to close because the Muslims find it upsetting! Enough of this already, we need to start taking serious actions to SMACK DOWN those that think they can oppress the rest of the world in the name of their religion.

Let me define the word liberal for you from the wikip:"Broadly speaking, contemporary liberalism emphasizes individual rights. I'll wager you feel that individul rights, freedom of thought, limitations on power and religion, the rule of law, free public education, equal rights, equal opportunity, open and fair elections... those are all things I'll just bet you believe in just like I do.
And it's those things we need to protect from fanatical religous death cults. For that what these Islamists truly are. One big giant death cult that wants us infidels to convert or die.
We need to be profiling people at our airports and inspecting the cargo continers that come into our country. And we need to be educating and working with everyone in our country because divided we fall.
There is the definition to a word, then there is a bastardization of a word.
Liberal is code word for socialist/communist. I am not a socialist or communist, PERIOD. (You know... like the definition for Gay is happy... But I don't do homosexual sex acts... But I am a happy person!)
So please refrain from lecturing me about what words mean. If you're a liberal, then pay attention to what is said here. If you're conservative you already feel the same damn way.
My definition for liberals and conservatives:
Liberals: They believe in power over the people.
Conservatives: Believe in power of the people.

Your "definition" is your only opinion and you obviously see only in black or white. Life is full of different colors and shades of gray too. And that was no "bastardization" of the definition - you're the one who did that. And it was the religious far right wing nuts who bastardized the word liberal and turned it into a dirty word. Really, take a few seconds and follow that link and read.
I completely agree with the points this articles raises - read my comments above, and check out others as well as other articles i've written on the subject - AND I'm liberal. And that's rocking your world, huh? Maybe it'll open your eyes to see there are many shades of gray out in the world. I'm only one of em.
