Time on my hands

Well now that I have finished nursing school in December and passed my nursing boards in February what do I do with all this time on my hands? So, I am writing at to you all at the request on my dear friend Barbara N. So what do I say?
There is so much going on in my life I don't know were to begin. First off I truly love being a nurse. Before graduating nursing school I was hired as an Operating Room Nurse Intern. Through this nurse intern program provided through my employer by AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurse), I am on my way to becoming the best operating room nurse I can be. It consist of 6 weeks of classroom didactics and 4 months of clinical experience in all the services we provide. We do it all in our OR. We are a level 1 hospital, meaning we take just about anything and can do just about anything when it comes to trauma and elective cases. I have rotated through three services already, vascular, plastics/wound/burn and I just finished my orthopedics/trauma rotation. Starting Monday and two weeks after I will be in my Neurology rotation, then General, Laparoscopic, Urology, and ENT. Come July I will have graduated from the internship program and will officially be running my own room soon after. I am excited about that. In my 7 weeks of clinical  experience I have participated in some pretty exciting cases. I was able to scrub a total body lift, circulate for endographic triple A's and got my first trauma...my patient was shocked while playing with a wire controlled device. Funny, after tranferring my trauma patient from the OR to the Burn Trauma Unit Barb N. was completing her clinicals for school and my patient was going to be in her care.
In these few months my husband has been underway twice. So it's been hard at home with my two boys, being mom and dad, while working, supporting the house, and making sure all is cared for. It takes some getting used to. But I know my husband and his Navy career is important not just to him, or us as a family, but to our nation as a whole. I am so totally over this fight for our freedom crap. While we are our saving and rebuilding another country ours is falling apart. Anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
Well That's what I been up to with all this time on my hands.
