Lately my articles have been rambulous (my new word) in nature.....so I shall bring my new style to my Nursing Chronicle tonite.
1) Started my new nursey type job...
I got the flexipool job in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit)!!! (can I get a small woot) I will be a Nursing Care Partner....and to me it is exciting. I can get back in the swing before going back to school for my last two classes before I become an RNA (Registered Nurse Applicant).
Today was orientation. I had to use up all my vacation from my full time job to complete the seven days of orientation.....siiiiigh.......I so need a vacation.....but it ain't happening....but hey.......all in the name of progress.
2) Cartoon Scrubs
I swore I would never, ever wear cartoon scrubs. I even have a scrub top of Betty Boop and I cannot bring myself to wear it...........however......
There was a sale. I found 2 scrub warmup jackets for $6.99 each. One was Care Bears, the other Bambi. arrrrrrgh. Dilemma.
Pros....

You hardly see the care bears unless you are looking realllllllllly hard.
I like Bambi. (in my Thumper voice ~ Wearing scrubs are a special treat. I need some crocs to cover my feet. I am sure a nice Nurse Care Partner to meet!!) hee.....I love that scene.
I can carry a lot of crap in my pockets......

Cons....
I should be more mature. (keyword: should)
Some cartoon scrubs look......well silly!
I am not working in Peds. Adult ICU. Not NICU
I am 38 years old. siiiiigh
Anyway.......I got the jackets.
3. People cannot spell.
I saw Deja vu spelled Dejah vue. I am just going to start putting letters together and call them words.
4. People don't like it when you know things.......
This is a whole article which I will write later. But small rant.....I hate it when people want you to dumb down. siiigh. I can't and won't.....I am no supergenius.....but I am not going to change or apologize for knowing things any more. siiiiigh.

I almost bought a stuffed care bear not so long ago ...would have but hubby was with me and was of the (erroneous) opinion that the fact that the care bears glowed in the dark was not enough to make up for them being rather costly care bears that I did not need.

that's what you need ...glow in the dark scrubs...and they make glow in the dark shoes too, y'know :)
2) gotta let the kid in you out! I respect a person who wears what they want without worrying about what others think. I also appreciate a good deal! Always go with the pros and forget about the cons.
3) Thought you should know the proper spelling of w00t is w00t with zeros not o's. I read that in Websters word-of-the-day. It's a new geek word (I love those). Unfortunately, geeks seem to do better with numbers than getting o's...
4) Some people are intimidated by genious...or they just are insecure because they feel less smart themselves when they see someone else is smart. You don't have to prove yourself to anyone. Just be your smart, sweet, silly self, and if someone feels insecure by it, that's their problem.
