Back to school.... nothing has changed

I was very excited to be getting back to class. I am an RN student and I had been on a short break. Tuesday was our first day back. When I left after my last mod, things were a bit unorganized, well at least that is my opinion. Needless to say... nothing has changed.

We showed up for class only to find that the teacher that we were told was going to be teaching us wasn't and we have been scheduled to a distance learning class. For those of you who don't know what that is.. we sit in a classroom with a monitor screen where we can see our teacher who is at another location. Anyway, we are all sitting in class at 5:30, our normal time when we get a phone call that class will not begin until 6:30. So we are thinking no biggy, we will just have an early dinner. So it's 6:30 and we are back in class. Our clinical instructor shows up and tells us that she is only doing clinicals on certain days and has no idea who will be doing our clinincal for the rest of the time. Our distance learning instructor comes on the screen and blows us away with news that we are now going to have class on Fridays... What, we have never had class on Friday.... On top of that we don't have enough clinical hours scheduled and no one has any idea what we are supposed to be doing. In two days we have been given 3 different class schedules and I just got another updated version today by e-mail.

I had told myself while I was on break that I wasn't gonna let school get to me again, I nearly lost my mind last time so the break was good for my mental health. But this is just getting to be ridiculous. Afterall I am paying 30,000 dollars to go to this school, you would think that they could spend some of my money to buy a computer program that would help them be a little more organized with my schedule.

 Anyway, I am off to a good start in this class, I got a 100 on my first quiz, the one that our distance learning instructor knew nothing about and I am back in class with some previous classmates that I really enjoy spending time with. I am hoping that things will work themselves out for the sake of my sanity.
