Have you had the opportunity to be nice to someone lately? I like to think of myself as a nice person. I try to lend a helping hand whenever I can. I try to be nice even when I don’t have to be. Just this morning I was in 7-11 and out of the blue, I bought coffee for the person that was behind me in line. Not that I had to do that but it made me feel good to be nice. The person must have thought I was crazy, a perfect stranger buying my coffee for no reason at all. But I don’t need a reason to be nice and neither does anyone else. Don’t get me wrong, I have my moments when I am not a nice person, not nice by any means, but I try to keep that demon of my personality under control because being nice is much more fun.
Take it from me, be nice to someone, pick a complete stranger and you’ll see how good it makes you feel. Put your road rage aside and let someone in when you’re in traffic or wave at the neighbors as you drive through the neighborhood or maybe you could bring in the garbage can for the neighbor before they get home. Being nice doesn’t always have to cost money, in fact most of the time it doesn’t cost anything.
I hope this little ramble inspires you to be nice to someone if for no other reason than to make you feel better today……

I telephoned the parents of James Byrd, Jr, in Japser Texas. (the young man who was killed some years back). While talking with his mother I learned that today was her wedding anniversary. I sent her a dozen roses.
Barbara is right y'all should come down south....we can teach you to talk right.
AND I can vouch for Barbara because she is nice to me EVERY day.
