Nursing School Chronicles - Bought the Pharm

Well.....it's been sometime so let me update you......

A certain nursing student we all know got an "A" in Nursing Concepts.

Y'all know what I am looking for here.  and it starts with a "W"

The Jury is still out on Psychology.....this was my 5 millionth Psych class BUT I have to say.....I reallllllly enjoyed this one.  My teacher was great, passionate about teaching us the subject, and an all over great guy.  Right now I am teetering on a low A or High B.  I had a 94.2 when I left class....before papers.  So.....Mr. Lambiro.....if you are reading this article now......hee!

Right now I am taking Pharmacology.  I keep hearing that it is hard.  That it is dry.  I must be in the Honeymoon phase....cos I kinda like it......but I have to say it is very labor intensive.

I will also be in Nursing Math <shudder> a necessary evil.  I am hoping it will be a nice break and I will have a newfound appreciation for math.  It will be nice to have something where the answer is what it is.  Most of the nursing classes are :  please answer the most right answer of the 4 right answers.....which is cool....but nervewracking.

I am considering how I can get another job that I can feed the family and yet have study time.  I am getting reallllllllly scared about that.  SO suggestion line is open!! 

Well....back to the Pharm....

You do know that the nursing boards are set up this way. I am glad your school is presenting to you in this way. It will make your boards a piece of cake.

Yeah....I am aware. I am just thinking it will be nice to have a class that is unambiguous,,yet scary at the same time....

But So far I am digging Pharm too.....I don't really think it is as dry or boring as they say.

other solution would be to quit feeding them, I suppose :)

No brilliant ideas here - my brain is so distracted as to be useless for anything these days... but congrats on the great marks ...

oh - I forgot WOOT! WOOT!
I would love to. Unfortunately, I took pharmacology 14 years ago. There are so many nre drugs and drug classifications now.
that should be new not nre.

I have taken Psych many times....but I have to say the biological/genetic components to the abnormals and even the developmental pscyh are getting very interesting...

Did that make sense? I may have blown a neuron.

Maybe when you get a bit further into the course you can diagnose it yourself :)

Wooooot!!, My brother worked his way through college as a night auditor at a motel, as when there was quiet time at night he could study at the desk there. He was a whiz at it though. Don't know if everyone could make that work. He often went sans the right amount of sleep, I think.

You know that is not a bad idea. Spoke with "one who shares air" (his indian name) and he thought changing jobs at this point was a bad idea. After all who would shoulder the majority of the bills *sacrasm, grumble, sarcasm* but that surely is something to consider should something unseemly transpire. Excellent idea actually.

Woot to the queen. You go girl! Keep up those good grades. I've been so sick lately I might have to get you to take care of me. And, I only want a nurse who made good grades. LOL.

I have been well....lets just say..... well let's not just say. LOL

Somehow if we meet at the border I'm the one that has to drive the farthest.....unless you wanna volunteer to drive to the NC/SC border? LOL. That's about 30 minutes from me!

Wow...still no grade, huh? That would bug the crap out of me.

No ma'am. I'm not on the wrong side of NC. Well....I dunno. There aren't too many jobs in northeastern NC from what I hear. Not that there's a whole lot in southeastern NC. LOL.

Well, I guess is Pharm is boring, then I am a boring Pharmer! LOL! Seriously, I think alot of people aren't very good at pharmacology and get frustrated trying to "memorize" everything which isn't possible. You will do well and if you have questions, then you know who to call! PharmerCarla!
