Took my Nutrition Exam Last night and my Microbiology Exam and I am off until January 3!!!!
Wooooooooooot!
I aced the Micro exam but the news of the Nutrition Exam may not be as good. I heard that the class average was failing. Which I feel badly about, but yet I also felt like it was bound to happen. we had asked through the whole mod if she would give us material for the tests to study for the weekend as we have school every night plus Sat and Sun (excepting Fridays)....but she would not do it. She gave us the 5 page comprehensive review on Sunday at 2AM that we could do on our time. Problem was Monday, we had a test for her and we did our mod presentations, Tuesday was a Micro test and presentations. Wednesday Micro Exam and finishing presentations and Thursday, we had our Nurtifion Final.....so if you work....you have no chance unless you stay up all night....which I did the week before....but I started to realize something had to give. Unfortunately the thing that has been giving is my health.
Last week, lack of sleep and eating took its toll. I had almost passed out in class on Saturday and Monday. I checked my blood sugars. Fastings were ok 64 and 69. But Monday after the test my blood sugars were 54 and I was very scared. I was taking my test and I was shaking and actually wrote off of my paper to the table. I felt extremely ill and had to go and get some orange juice and a piece of candy. It happened during the nutrition exam, last night also. I was getting confused and frustrated so I finished the test....did not even check it and went for the orange juice.
I know what it is and it is mainly my fault. I have no time to eat, I work so hard, and my house is a wreck. But I have time off so I can re-evaluate the house situation. Get everyone to follow a better schedule. And remember to bring a snack. I just don't like eating out of a candy machine. I usually stock up at the organic food depot....but recently I haven't made it there when they are open. So if I can some how get it together maybe some peanut butter and whole grain bread will work. it is so ironic that this was happening to me during nutrition class. But the good news is we had a pot luck and we all ate better than we have in 5 weeks. AND bonus, my friend gave us all a 15 minute chair massage for Christmas....that is the best christmas present ever!!!!
Well, relax and enjoy your holiday!!!

Can i get a woot woot?
wooot!
And here's another w00t because lady, you've earned it! :)
Again Yasher we are doing the twin thing again. Because that is exactly what I did after the episode. OJ, granola bar.....and was tempted by the coke....but averted the danger.....
I am a terrible Coca-cola fiend.
Marie...thanks for the great apricot-y advice.....did you have a lovely birthday.
Speaking of Grades. I don't understand. Why it is that I got a degree in programming. Something I far from love anymore....and I only ever had one B. I took all these subjects before (12 week courses!) ANd had nothing less than a A (except in Chemistry) AND NOW ALL I HAVE ARE STOOOPID Bs!! But I will accept that....for now. I will get the elusive A if it kills me....and apparently it just might.
Jody...uh just ignore the above paragraph.
Peter.....I can neither confirm nor deny that rumor....errrr....rumour.
Steve.... I *believe* that they want to bring us to the brink of destruction only to nurse ourselves back to good health......that's my thought anyway. And no....it was 15 minutes of massage. My neighbor in my classes is a Massage Therapist......double woot woot.
And Ron......thanks and *whistle, whistle* No seriously I am working on it. I am supposed to be the granola crunchy health nut.....this is not boding well for my reputation as such.
Ok Mommy Hon Hon....I promise....ralllly I do! (she says in her molasses thick Southern accent and bats her eyes blinkingly)
Shannon, Lady Knight of the Queens of the Universe, thank you for the first woot!!!
And Joanne....ahhhhhhh....we must install massaging pool boys in our universe.
AND MElinda!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
Peter ; )
And thank you for choosing to dedicate your life in such a caring manner. My sister is a nurse. She works a lot of long hours and she is just too exhausted at the end of the day to do anything. But there's nothing that makes her happier than getting a thank you nurse from a patient or from a patient's family and knowing that she did make a difference. You have a wonderful career ahead of you!
