Was just on the news here. In 26 states Walmart is offering a $4 prescription program on 150 generic drugs. This is not only for people without insurance. If you have insurance and your co-pay is higher you can opt to do the $4 program. This is good on a 30 supply and must be picked up in person. This is fantastic news. Several of my meds are on there. I am also going to take the list with me to the doctors office and see if they can replace some of the others with those on the list. I thought I would let everyone know. I know others are having trouble affording there meds also.
Here is the link for the Med list.

Please pass this info on to anyone you know who could benefit from this program. Now we need other copanies to do the same as Walmart!

I swear! now consumers who will have to spend the money anwyas will bargain to other stores, that are willing to price match. but Lori yes, they will be having a incentive program through Walmart now, but doesn't mean it will be cheap. I am sure something will be added in somewhere. Thanks for the links:D
$4 plus whatever tax you pay anyway. I don't normally shop Walmart, but I will go there for $4 on a prescription. I don't have insurance so $4 is a lot cheaper than what I have to pay now. Even when I had insurance my co-pay was $20 for generics. So even someone with insurance can save on there generic drugs if they are on the list. I know co-pays on generics run $5, $10, $15, $20 and even higher.
I wouldn't pick up my prescriptions in a Walmart if they paid me to do it. NOthing is worth compromising my principles. Although, it's true, I have used their restroom upon occasion.
