He's the author of BRAVE NEW WAR: THE NEXT STAGE OF TERRORISM AND THE END OF GLOBALIZATION. I have found Robb's information, comments, and perspectives more relevant to current domestic and global conditions than what I find in the newspapers, TV news or news programs, and any other blog. For example, here's some things he passed along in today's email I received (which prompted me to finally bring him to the attention of gather members):

The rapid onset of this century's global Depression (D2), is destroying US communities via a tsunami of foreclosures (the 'formerly' high rate of home ownership in the US makes it particularly vulnerable to a debt-deflation crisis). Double digit levels of foreclosures can turn a viable community into a desolate place bereft of government services and commercial activity.

Worse, given the deep corruption (sorry, it's impossible to argue that getting multi-million dollar bonuses for incompetence and costless public bailouts that pay off huge  gambling debts is anything else) of the current US elites, we won't see any meaningful effort to mitigate this torrent in the short term.


One of the prime reasons I was motivated to write my now-completed book HOW A $6,000.00 THEFT LED TO THE EXPOSURE OF CRIME AND CORRUPTION IN THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY LEGAL SYSTEM came from reading Robb's book and his emails and following his developing ideas germane to historical, sociological, economic, etc., developments. He describes how activities, conditions, and developments in the varied areas are in fact corruption which have gotten to the point where it is affecting the majority of Americans and people around the world in specific and increasingly threatening ways in their everyday lives.

I would not have bothered to write my book if I thought I were simply recounting another instance of routine corruption in the legal system, government, and public affairs. But what I found as I pursued investigation of what was going on was a network involving private and public attorneys, employees at the local courthouse, higher-ups in the Fairfield County State's Attorney's office and the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney's office, criminal and corruption judges (actually working with the criminal attorneys to fabricate evidence, if you can believe it), and indifferent and lackadaisical government officials (e. g., Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and senators Christopher Dodd and Joseph Lieberman) making it impossible for normal, decent social and legal relationships and procedures to be in effect. I found the local so-called legal system to be in effect a giant hoax, not simply a field or context in which unfortunate instances of corruption occurred.

In other words, the corruption was not limited, but had become standard operating procedure; like the scams of the financial firms. I learned for instance, that the Fairfield County State's Attorney's office acts as a protection racket for preferred criminals, namely attorneys at a prominent local law firm. So using my education in philosophy, writing ability, and first-hand experiences, I wrote the book exposing this sociopathic, corrosive state of affairs. Similar to many homeowners and investors, I've found what is actually going on with professionals in supposed positions of responsibility and public trust. And this has nothing to do with the expressed purposes in the framework of the public interest, but everything to do with secret interests scorning the concept of public interest.

I see a relationship between the story I tell and Bush's deceptiveness in taking the country into war, Bernie Madoff's huge scam, indifference and probable collusion at the SEC allowing for the devastating financial scandals, the activities of large investment firms and banks and now the pathetic excuses by those heading them. Robb helps to bring all this into clear focus, identifies repercussions of it, conjectures about future consequences, and offers examples and ideas about how ordinary, concerned citizens can respond to it.
