What is wrong with our kids.

This is becoming more and more common in public schools today, especially in the cities. When my son was in high school, there was a shooting across the street from school, in the parking lot.........there were also bomb threats, and one day when I went to pick him up after school, I got right in the middle of a drug bust....LOL! There were NINE cop cars there! It IS scary, sending kids to public schools...I see why more and more parents are choosing home schooling or private church schools!

It is, and I guess it is a big thing here, as those things very seldom happen.

I do think they see it on screen, and then believe that is how you deal with things.

I guess he messed with the wrong girl. LOL>

Our girls are becoming boys-boys are becoming much more like girls. I don't know what is going on here. She probably wanted him for herself. I live in Arizona, and my girl acts like a boy. I think my boy is too sensitive, and I am working with him on it, because he won't be able to survive here. ( I fear). However, she said that the boys at school are all sensitive, and that they dress in real tight clothing, or real loose clothing.

She is a senior in her high school, and she finally found a b.f. who is already out of school. She treats him like he is her brother. She teases him, etc. They both play guitar, but he is in a band. She told me that many kids today are "bi-sexual" although this is her first b.f. She is a beautiful girl with hair down to her waist, but she dresses like a "rock and roll dark type." I don't understand it. She has braces on her teeth that are almost off, I did the best I could here. Personally, I think our children are spoiled today-I think they are taught that whatever they want they get-and there is no guidance. Now, we did not recieve much guidance in my generation, but we were not spoiled. I worked since I was very young, and today they can't even find jobs! Scary!

My teen daughter also mentioned that the boys try to get into their pants very quickly. She reports having to "fight some off." This is nothing new, but she also reports that there are many girls at her school who are "making out" in the halls and getting away with it! I do fear for our future of a bunch of spoiled entitled brats!

From what is being released, it seems like maybe she snapped after being bullied since the beginning of the school year. She cried and told her parents she hated school, they just could not figure out why. I guess they know now.

That's sad and really tragic. It's sad to hear that she was bullied. Kids can be very cruel, and they don't realize how hurtful their words are.

Well, from your comment, I see now why she stabbed someone.
But, of course, I don't condone violence as a solution. I was mentally bullied in Kindergarten first, and fourth grade until my junior year of high school. I never once took matters into my own hands like this. Yes, I lost my temper and yelled at a girl that picked on me all through class.
But, stabbing someone? That's a bit too much extreme. It only perpetuates the circle of violence. I hope that it tells other kids to please report bullying to a teacher, principle, basically anyone who will listen.
Schools are much tougher on bullies these days.
Don't be ashamed or afraid. Get help before it's too late.

I do not condone it at all either, but understand. They now are considering trying her as an adult. I sure don't see how they can.

I thank the Lord that my kids are grown. However, I have grandchildrenin school now. It is a crap-shoot everyday on whether your children will come home from school in one piece. Pretty sad sign of the times.

I wonder what is going to happen to the next generation since this last one is so careless. I see more & more kids that have no respect, honor, truth, concious, or any morals at all. When you go to the parents you then see why & you just have to shake your head & walk away.

I know, my son is struggling with the respect thing. I don't know why but we are nipping in the but real quick, whether he likes it or not.

I am very concerned about our children and grandchildren in todays society. It is scary and gettting worse all the time

It seems they think violence is the answer to anything bad that happens.
